Putting on another performance! A dressed-down Nicole Kidman blows kisses at her fans as she leaves West End theatre after a night of treading the boards

She'd just spent two hours wowing West End audiences with her portrayal of scientist Rosalind Franklin.

But as Nicole Kidman left London's Noel Coward theatre on Thursday night after her performance in Photograph 51, the Hollywood star was still playing the part of a leading lady, making a grand exit from the stage door by theatrically blowing kisses for her fans.

The Aussie actress once again dressed down to head back to her London base, keeping warm in a cosy sweater.

Nicole, 48, teamed a blue jumper with skinny jeans for her exit, adding a fur-trimmed hooded coat for extra warmth.

Her strawberry blonde locks were swept up into a casual do, while a slick of pink lip colour accentuated her stunning features.

With her autograph pen in hand, the star came out of the stage door already blowing kisses for the crowd of waiting fans outside the theatre.

She was only too happy to pose for photos with delighted fans and sign their programmes before heading back to her hotel for a well earned sleep.

Last week Nicole offered a rare insight into her personal life, discussing her divorce from Hollywood star Tom Cruise, with whom she has adopted children Isabella, 22, and Connor, 20.

'Out of my divorce came work that was applauded so that was an interesting thing for me,' she said during a Women in the World summit in London.

However, it also came with its obvious disadvantages and Nicole found herself the 'loneliest she'd ever been' after winning an Oscar for her role in The Hours.

'[The divorce] culminated in winning an Oscar and that caused an epiphany which was, "This isn’t the answer". 'I was holding a gold statue and I was the loneliest I’d ever been.'

Nicole also confessed that she found fulfillment by marrying Keith Urban, the father of her daughters Sunday Rose, seven, and Faith, four.

Discussing her relationship with the country singer, Nicole said: 'We didn’t really know each other – we got to know each other during our marriage.'
