Christie Brinkley's been smiling a lot these days and perhaps due to the man buzzing around her.

The 61-year-old supermodel's inner beauty was in top form as she stepped out with her new boyfriend John Mellencamp, 64, in New York City's SoHo area on Thursday.

Christie was smiling and her complexion was glowing while the two waited for their chauffeured ride outside her hotel.

Christie was looking casually chic in a black leather jacket over a grey graphic T-shirt, trendily torn jeans and thigh-high black suede boots.

The Jack & Diane singer was rocker cool in jeans and a navy jumper over a white T-shirt.

The mother-of-three seemed happy-go-lucky as she waited on the curb while clutching a designer black handbag.

Christie's long blonde hair was parted off the side and allowed to cascade in softly rolling curls.

Her make-up was natural-toned and served to highlight her features, which looked remarkably unchanged since her early modeling years as a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover girl.

Mellencamp seemed totally smitten as he held the car door open for his lady love.

The couple made their blossoming romance public last month when they were photographed together on a date.

Meanwhile, Christie's genes have spilled over to her beautiful offspring, Jack and Sailor Brinkley-Cook, who pose for the November issue of Town & Country magazine.

In one glamorous black-and-white snap, Sailor boasts long blonde, wavy hair and smoky eyes while Jack sports a curly 'do and model cheekbones.

Sailor began modeling two years ago, but plans on concentrating most of her attention on college.

The 17-year-old conceded that having such a famous supermodel for a mom can be daunting.

'It can be hard to be up-and-coming and constantly compared to an icon,' Sailor told Town & Country.

Jack, 20, is forging ahead on plans to be an actor now that his studies at the Le Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in New York City are completed.

'The most terrifying thing is the desire to establish a career as an actor,' Jack told the publication. 'It’s an extremely competitive and challenging industry to conquer.'

With a compliment aimed at his elder sister Alexa Ray Joel, Jack added: 'If I ever have anything I need to talk about or get over, Alexa is my go-to.'
