  • A spokesperson for Target told Daily Mail Online that the company takes this incident 'very seriously' and is currently investigating the situation

A mother who was filming her twin sons in Target captured more than she bargained for when pornographic moaning started blaring over the store's loudspeakers.

Gina Young, 43, from Campbell, California, was at the Westgate Campbell Target with her sons Weston and Wyatt on Wednesday when X-rated audio began playing on the intercom. The mother's video shows one of her sons bursting into to tears - but it is unclear if he is upset by the noise or that his brother won't let him hold a box of Pizza Poppers.

'This happened today at Target in Campbell, CA,' Gina captioned the video on her Facebook page. 'Porn blasting over the intercom throughout the store. People offered to help me cover my twins' ears. Others threw their stuff down and walked out.'

'Employees were running around everywhere,' she added. 'Picking and hanging up phones, which worked...for about two minutes before it started up again.

'People were screaming at employees, videotaping, some laughing, some disgusted. It was terribly awkward.'

In the 30-second clip, Gina can be heard asking: 'What is going on at Target right now?' as moaning and explicit language can be heard in the background.

The mother's sons are seated in the red shopping cart, and after her sons start crying, one can be heard whimpering 'stop' - however he may be reacting to his brother thwarting his attempt to grab onto to the Pizza Poppers.

According to the New York Daily News the graphic audio lasted for more than 15 minutes as employees desperately tried to turn it off.

Gina's video has been viewed more than 175,000 times since it was posted on Facebook on Wednesday.

In the comments section of her post Gina explained that froze and didn't know what to do or how to react.

'I was covering Weston's ears and was like OMG I can't cover both their ears,' she recalled. 'A woman walked over and offered to cover Wyatt's ears. That's when I was like, "Thanks so much but I just need to get us out of here ASAP."'

Gina said she rushed to check out and at that point almost everyone with kids was doing the same.

'The sad thing was it was all parents with kids trying to leave,' she noted. 'It was so awkward.'

Gina also shared another video which showed shoppers and Target employees milling around.

'@target employees freaking out over porn blasting over the loud speaker,' she wrote. 'This is not safe for work let alone all the small children in the store. People were up in arms. Some people threw there things down and walked out. Others were yelling at employees. Lots of people taking videos. Crazy! [sic]'

In a later post, Gina said that her video has gotten over 1,000 views in 30 minutes, and she has gotten 'lots of random Friend requests'.

'I always wanted to have a video go viral, but not exactly like this - more for the cute things my twins do,' she said of the clip's popularity.

'This should be an interesting next couple of days,' Gina added.

A spokesperson for Target told Daily Mail Online: 'We are actively reviewing the situation with the team to better understand what happened and to help ensure this doesn’t happen again. Because this is an active investigation, I’m unable to share additional details, but we want our guests to know that we take this very seriously.'

A similar incident occurred at a Target in San Luis Obispo, California in July as shoppers found themselves being subjected to listening to loud porn from the store's PA system.
