A luxurious futuristic mansion is set to be a force on the property market - because it looks like Star Wars ship the Millennium Falcon. The stunning four-bedroom Alkira in Daintree,in the Daintree rainforest, near Cape Tribulation, in Queensland, Australia, is for sale after attracting comparisons to the iconic spaceship. The space age home, which was built in 2009, is on sale for $15 million.

Simon Binner, 57, who has been battling motor neurone disease since January, updated his page on the professional networking site to declare that he would die this coming Monday. The Cambridge graduate, who lives in a £1.3m home in the leafy suburb of Purley, Surrey, has posted a series of videos online in which his wife Debbie describes his condition as 'like waking up to a nightmare every morning'. The father and grandfather is now preparing to end his life through assisted suicide at a clinic called Eternal Spirit in Basel, Switzerland. With the help of his wife, he has posted a series of videos to a campaigning Facebook page, in which he urges a change in UK law for assisted suicide so he does not have to go through a 'covert' and 'brutal pre-planned' death. Mr Binner's illness is the second tragedy to have hit the family. In 2013, Mr Binner's 18-year-old step-daughter Chloe Drury died from the rare bone cancer Ewing's Sarcoma after she was refused access to potentially life-saving cancer drugs.

A man hunt is underway for two of Australia's most wanted criminals, a father-son duo who allegedly engaged in a shootout with police after eight years on the run. Police confirmed that a large scale operation is underway to search for two men who shot at police twice on Friday afternoon - identified as Gino Stocco, 58 (right) and his son Mark Stocco, 36 (left) by Seven News. Shortly after 2pm on Friday, police stopped a 4WD near the NSW Victoria border and the two male occupants - alleged to be Gino and Mark - shot at police before fleeing.

Swedish royals Princess Sofia and Prince Carl-Philip have released new photographs to mark the announcement of the arrival of their first child. In one image, Princess Sofia, a former glamour model, is seen gazing at her husband, wearing a white long-sleeved dress and her hair tumbling down her shoulders. In the second, the proud couple stand smiling straight at the camera. In a statement published on Facebook, the couple said: 'We are so happy and excited to announce that we are expecting our first child. We are very much looking forward to it.'

Deven Guilford (bottom right), 17, was pulled over by Sgt. Jonathan Frost, of Eaten County's Sheriff's Department in Michigan, in February after flashing the officer because he believed his brights were on. During the traffic stop, Guilford refused to put his hands behind his back or give Frost any official documents, leading the officer to train a stun gun on him (top right and left) before using it, according to county prosecutor Doug Lloyd. An altercation then ensued which ended with Guilford lying dead in a snow-filled ditch, having been shot seven times by Frost. Now, the teenager's grief-stricken relatives are taking legal action against the officer and the county.

Jimmy and Toula Koustoubardis posted a 'special announcement' outside their 'Fruit and Vege' shop in Mosman, Sydney, thanking their customers for understanding after they shut theiir shop. The store was closed on Sunday so they could watch their son Dennis, 34, tie the knot with his girlfriend of 14 years Ellen Zonaras, 32, (pictured together) at the Greek Orthodox Church in Crows Nest. More than 250 people attended the celebration which the bride, whose parents are from Greece, jokingly referred to as 'my big fat Greek wedding'.

The millionaire boss of Australia's biggest bikie gang, Rebels leader Alex Vella (left in bikie colours and, right, dressed for court), has come to the end of his road to return home after the High Court of Australia ruled on Friday he will never be allowed back into the country where he has a large family. Vella's Facebook page said on Friday 'Special leave wasn't granted, which we expected...we are considering our next steps'. But a High Court spokesman told Daily Mail Australia that the decision was 'the end of the road' for Vella and he has exhausted every legal avenue to try and return home.

Elizabeth and Tom Boyce from Plano, Texas, combined two IKEA beds to create a single sleeping structure for themselves and their five small children. The 35-year-old mother said the arrangement came to be because her kids would always wander into their parents' room, anyway, and they were used to sleeping together because they travel often and use a pop-up camper. She insists that her and 44-year-old Tom's sex life hasn't suffered; they just get creative with where they do it, and now have two spare rooms where no one sleeps. She also said that the arrangement could change at any time if any of the children wanted out, but right now they are all happy - even though Tom snores and the baby wakes up in the middle of the night to be fed.

Kangatraining is a new workout in Australia that allows mothers to workout with their babies. The cardio postnatal class helps new mothers build their fitness and strengthen weakened muscles. Mothers strap their babies to their chests for an aerobics section (right) as well as interacting with them (left) for the strength and endurance exercises. Instructor Ali Lee (right of left image and centre of right image), 34, says the women are more empowered to exercise after the class.

The disturbing CCTV clip shows the unidentified man walking around Leeds city centre (pictured right) shortly before he comes across his 24-year-old female victim at around 5am on Friday, August 14. Police believe he was looking for someone to attack when he targeted the young woman. The victim, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was on her way to get a taxi home after a night out when she was approached by the man in the Kirkgate area of the city. He spoke to her and walked alongside her before he picked her up (left) and carried her to the scene of the attack.

Twin sisters Margaret and Patricia Hipsley have lived together in the same house for almost ninety years but recently they made the momentous decision to change address. Maggie Russell, 20, has stopped eating carbs and exercises twice a day in the lead up to the World Beauty, Fitness and Fashion competition on the Gold Coast on Saturday. The team from International Animal Rescue believed the corpse-like creature to be dead when they found him resting with his tiny arms folded across his lifeless body. The orangutan was suffering from a lack of hair and grey flaking skin due to sarcoptic mange, a highly contagious skin disease that causes intense itching and irritation. The team, who have since named the ape Gito, were shocked by the state of the animal and took him to the orangutan rehabilitation centre in Ketapang, West Borneo for immediate medical attention.

The enigmatic Dutch draftman's gravity-defying work will baffle a new generation of admirers now that more than 100 pictures are on display at Dulwich Picture Gallery in London. The exhibition features famous drawings like (clockwise from top left) his eerily precise 1948 drawing Eye, which contains a terrifying reminder of mortality; the perfectly tessellated reptiles in No56 Lizards from 1942; Puddle, from 1952, which is at once both a reflection and a glimpse of the sky making the viewer feeling baffled about perspective; and 1953's Relativity is the Friesland-born artist's mind-boggling conception of a building filled with never-ending staircases where there is no up or down.

More than a million Indian people rely on a network of precarious wooden bridges, each more than half a mile long, to make their daily commute across the River Ganges, in Uttar Pradesh, India. Photographer Ramakrishna Dhanasekaran captured a series of sensational images showing the daring 10-minute journey across the holy river, made by a million people every day. The wooden bridges were entirely crafted by the hands of those who have built their lives on the riverbanks, with each of the 1,537 pontoons needing to be rolled manually into place by 20 workers.
