While the rest of the world has been social media obsessed for quite a while, Chris Hemsworth only just got his own Instagram account earlier this week.

And as he now plays catch up, the Australian actor has proved family always comes first, by sharing a snap of himself and one of his twin sons during a workout session on Thursday.

'The family who trains together, stays together!' the 32-year-old former Home And Away star captioned the image in which he carried his little boy, either Tristan or Sasha, while working up a sweat on a treadmill.

Chris, who is known for his incredibly muscular figure in Hollywood flick Thor, showed off his bulging biceps once again in this photo.

Wearing a grey singlet and complementing shorts, he flexed his arm muscles while supporting his little boy.

And while he may not have been on a movie set, Chris applied himself to the workout as though it was just another professional role.

Sporting a dark cap, the genetically blessed star displayed a facial expression of sheer determination to ace the training session and achieve incredible results.

No doubt the actor's fans were very impressed with his social media efforts, with the photo attracting plenty of positive comments.

'Hey Thor!' read one comment underneath the snap, while others wrote 'so sexy' and 'love it' to show they give their tick of approval.

Since creating an official account Liam has shared 15 snaps of his life with his nearly 500 thousand followers which have included images of big brother Chris and their mother Leonie.

Last week the two breath-taking brothers enjoyed some down time at the AFL grand final in Melbourne.

Meanwhile Chris' wife Elsa Pataky is much more familiar with the social media world, the 39-year-old blonde beauty regularly sharing fun snaps on her Instagram account.

The pair who tied the knot back in December 2010, share three-year-old daughter India Rose, as well as twin sons Tristan and Sasha born in March 2014.
