Alaskan police release surveillance image of 'essential witness' after vice president of property company is found dead in a hotel

A construction company executive has been found dead in a hotel room in Alaska.

Shayne Clinton Baringer, 51, was discovered on Tuesday in Anchorage in mysterious circumstances.

Cops have released pictures of a woman at the reception of the hotel they say is an 'essential witness.

They are awaiting full autopsy and toxicology results to try and find out the cause of death. 

In a statement on their Facebook page, The Anchorage Police Department wrote: '[We] have reason to believe the unidentified woman in the photographs is an essential witness in the case, and may have information regarding Baringer’s activities on the day of his passing that would aid in their investigation. 

'Police are asking that the woman comes forward, or that anyone who recognizes her contacts police at 907-786-8900 (press “0” to speak with an operator). 

'You may also remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 561-STOP or online at anchoragecrimestoppers.com.'

Jennifer Castro, the police department's communications director, told the Alaska News Dispatch no foul play was found during Baringer's autopsy.

Baringer runs Twin Peaks Construction with his wife Nikki. He is the vice president and she is the president.
