Dolly Parton has denied claims she is suffering from cancer and insists she is 'doing just fine.'

The legendary country singer did reveal she had recently undergone surgery to have kidney stones removed, however she insists she is already back working.

Dolly, 69, spoke out after the National Enquirer said she had been rushed to hospital over the latter condition, while also saying 'close friends' feared she was covering up the fact she had cancer.

In a statement on her website, the Bargain Store star said: ' It is true that I had kidney stones. I had them removed three weeks ago and I am doing just fine!

'I am back to work and last week I was at Dollywood filming parts for my new movie “Coat of Many Colors,” which premieres December 10th on NBC. 

'There is absolutely no truth at all that I have stomach cancer. I love and appreciate everyone’s concern.'

But the I Will Always Love You entrepreneur, who is worth an estimated $500 million, has not just been limiting herself to media work.

For she also said she has been promoting the opening of a new resort called DreamMore at her theme park Dollywood, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary.

Eagles drummer Don Henley sparked concern for her health in September when he said in interview the bluegrass star 'got out of the hospital bed' to come shoot a music video with him.

Her praised the 9 to 5 star for her generosity, saying the Tennessee-born star had called to say she had a 'medical issue' but was determined attend the shoot in Los Angeles.

He said she filmed for hours, thanked everyone then 'I guess went back to the hospital.'

At the time her publicist said she was busy bussing between LA, Nashville and New York to attend press events relating to her Coat of Many Colors film.
