But Amy Schumer and Salma Hayek are staking their case for the most sold editions.

The two talented actresses put on eye-popping displays on each of their covers for Elle magazine's Women In Holllywood issue.

The pair were not the only ones with the distinction of being on the front of the November issue as Dakota Johnson, Alicia Vikander, Carey Mulligan, Kate Winslet, Ava DuVernay and Gena Rowlands are also featured.

Salma, 49, gave a sultry look on her cover as she sported a strapless black number which showed off some of her best assets.

Her raven-coloured locks were wet as they were worn down over her shoulders as she sported complimentary make-up topped off with a swipe of pink lip.

Amy, 34, looked seductive in a white dress shirt with the collar popped up, sleeves rolled up and completely unbuttoned to show off a lacy black bra.

The Trainwreck star wore her long blonde locks down and sported natural-looking make-up complete with a swipe of shiny lip.

Dakota looked cool in a black patterned leather biker jacket along with a large silver chain. The 26-year-old Fifty Shades Of Grey star also had her highlighted brunette tresses worn into waves while sporting complimentary make-up.

Carey brought the high-fashion element to her cover shoot as she sported plenty of sheery black lace along with a top which featured a jewelled design at the collar.

The 30-year-old British beauty rocked evening make-up including dark eyeliner with smokey eye make-up as she held back her dishevelled brunette tresses with her hand in the cover snap.
