The victim, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was on her way to get a taxi home after a night out when she was approached by the man in the Kirkgate area of the city. He spoke to her and walked alongside her before he picked her up (left) and carried her to the scene of the attack.

Sgt Jonathan Frost shoots dead unarmed Deven Guilford in Michigan

Deven Guilford (bottom right), 17, was pulled over by Sgt. Jonathan Frost, of Eaten County's Sheriff's Department in Michigan, in February after flashing the officer because he believed his brights were on. During the traffic stop, Guilford refused to put his hands behind his back or give Frost any official documents, leading the officer to train a stun gun on him (top right and left) before using it, according to county prosecutor Doug Lloyd. An altercation then ensued which ended with Guilford lying dead in a snow-filled ditch, having been shot seven times by Frost. Now, the teenager's grief-stricken relatives are taking legal action against the officer and the county.
