She's known for having one of the most vibrant looks in the music industry.

But Paloma Faith considerably toned down her quirky image when she attended the Youth premiere during the 59th BFI London Film Festival in Leicester Square, London on Thursday night, where she made a rare public appearance alongside her boyfriend Leyman Lahcine.

The 34-year-old singer got into the spirit of things, tucking into some popcorn at the Vue West End cinema as she settled down to watch the Rachel Weisz-fronted drama alongside her partner of over a year.

Paloma - who has a cameo appearance in the film - was the picture of elegance in a pretty black dress with a thigh-high slit running up the back of the skirt.

The classic number was given an added edge thanks to a crossover silk sash and a navy panel at the bust, as well as a glitzy gold caped sleeve on one shoulder.

The new Voice UK coach paired her elegant dress with a small clutch bah and a pair of diamanté encrusted heels.

Paloma wore her blonde locks piled on top of her head in an elaborate, plaited updo and enhanced her features with heavy bronzer and bright red lipstick.

Leyman was dressed to impress in a tweed coat, beret and denim jacket, clearly sharing the same passion for fashion as his girlfriend.

The pair have kept their romance on the down-low until recently, with Paloma confessing, 'I enjoy working hard but I’ve never been in a relationship before that’s made me as happy as I am now.'

The star has joined Boy George, Ricky Wilson and sole remaining veteran judge Will.i.am on the newly-revamped coaching panel of The Voice, with filming debuting last month.

The upcoming fifth series will no doubt be a marked departure from the past due to the loss of fan favourite judge Sir Tom Jones.

Paloma recently revealed she certainly wouldn't be sugarcoating her advice to singing hopefuls on the show.

'I’m definitely not cruel and I’m not going on it to upset anybody, but I’m also not there to tell everyone they’re amazing when they’re not', she told the Australian Daily Telegraph.

'I don’t think that’s fair. I want the people I work with to succeed in the music industry and it isn’t like that.'
