They announced their split in December last year after four years together.

And it sounds as though Kate Hudson is still not regretting her decision to call time on her romance with ex Matt Bellamy as the star has opened up about their marriage in the latest edition of Allure magazine.

In one of her most candid interviews to date, Kate revealed the couple 'had different visions of how [they] wanted to live [their] lives'.

The 36-year-old star separated from her Muse frontman fiancé in 2014 following four years together and she's now revealed their differing opinions of their lives together is what forced them apart.

'Relationships ending are painful, and you can choose to carry that or you can choose to reframe it. If Matt and I had a great relationship, we would still be together, but we chose to move on because we had different visions of how we wanted to live our lives,' the Almost Famous star explained.

But despite their split, Kate insisted the two have done their utmost to ensure their relationship is amicable for the sake of their son Bingham Bellamy, four, and it looks as though they have succeeded.
