Naomi Campbell wraps up in a blue poncho and thigh-high boots as she enjoys a shopping session in New York

She has worked with the brand on a number of occasions both on and off the catwalk.

So Naomi Campbell's jaunt to the Burberry store in New York came as no surprise as she shopped up a storm during an outing on Thursday.

The 45-year-old supermodel nailed low-key glamour as she strutted out of the store wearing skin-tight black leggings and a colbalt blue poncho.

Pack a real style punch in Naomi Campbell's Burberry poncho

Naomi Campbell blending into the crowd on the mean streets of New York? Surely not. Yet stranger things have happened. The supermodel may be adept at doing high octane glamour but she can also do low key chic with the best of 'em as evinced by this particular ensemble.

Campbell has chosen to wear one of Burberry's signature fringed capes for a spot of shopping at the label's flagship store in NYC. But she's eschewed the branded, monogrammed show looks in favor of a sophisticated pared down version in blue.

Naomi looked typically chic in her ensemble which included tight leggings, perfect for flaunting her incredibly long legs.

She added a sexy touch to the look with a pair of flat, thigh-high suede boots which tightly clung to her lithe limbs.

The stunning model, who has been in the fashion industry for nearly three decades, added a splash of colour to the otherwise muted look with her stunning blue wrap.

Keeping her accessories simple, Naomi wore a pair of delicate earrings and a series of rings including one with a turquoise stone and an interesting gold chain detail ring - although her biggest accessory was the huge Burberry shopping bag she was toting.

In true superstar style, the catwalk queen shielded her eyes with a huge pair of black sunglasses although her model bone structure was apparent through her incredibly high cheekbones.

Naomi wore her shoulder length locks in a bouncy blow-dry, with her favoured sweeping fringe skimming the top of her sunglasses.

The model and actress is no doubt celebrating the release of her latest TV project, American Horror Story: Hotel.

Naomi plays Vogue editor Claudia Bankson in the series where she becomes a guest at Hotel Cortez - the eery backdrop of the programme, where Lady Gaga plays the hotel's owner The Countess.

The star recently spoke toEntertainment Tonight about the character, saying: 'My name is Claudia Bankson and I work at Vogue Magazine. I'm quite opinionated.

'I kind of know how it works at magazines, obviously, but I kind of wanted to make it more about her, and her life, and where she comes from as a person.

'She's strong, independent, says what she wants to say. She's honest.'
