Victoria was presented with the Best Brand award at the London Coliseum last year, and she told the star-studded audience that her handsome husband was her inspiration when it came to her work.

She said: 'David, you inspire me every day. You support me. You make this possible. I adore you and our children.'

Accepting the accolade from actors Anna Kendrick and Jeremy Irvine, she added: 'And my parents, you love me unconditionally - and I know I am a pain in the bottom.

'I am so so proud to be British and incredibly proud to have built my brand in the UK. I want to thank my team. I love you all so much and this is for all of you.

'We've come a long way since that Spice Girls dressing room.'

As her name was announced, the 40-year-old designer planted a kiss on David's lips in front of Suki Waterhouse, Anna Wintour and Christopher Bailey - who were also sat at the couple's table - before heading up on stage to the most rapturous applause of the night.

After delivering her impassioned speech, mother-of-four Victoria's voice cracked as she became overcome with emotion at her incredible achievement.

The 41-year-old, who has cemented her status as one of the world's most esteemed designers, sure knows what works for her and has long been known to stick to a precise uniform of pared back looks, including the classic silhouetted LBD, chic navy blazer and cigarette pants.

But, as she finds her confidence as a designer, Victoria has been pushing the style boundaries - and it's certainly paying off.

The fashion darling has been stepping out in bolder colours, new shapes and embracing prints - and she's never looked better.

Indeed, the mother-of-four is a walking advert for her new designs, which showcase a shift in her style.

Her signature dress silhouettes, which have made her a favourite among Blake Lively and Eva Longoria, still feature strongly but there's bolder colours, as well as floral and heart prints emblazoned on dresses in her new wardrobe.

Victoria, who started her own fashion label in 2008, has previously spoken out about her desire to create dresses which make women feel empowered and good about themselves.

Victoria once revealed in an interview: 'A great dress makes a woman feel special and should be easy to wear. To be able to put on a perfect dress and know that it is flattering from every angle is really important to me.'

Explaining that it is important that she can wear the designs herself, she said: 'Essentially I design what I want to wear and what I feel is right for the moment. Women want to feel good in clothes, but also a little sexy and feminine.'
