As one of the most coveted honours an actor can receive, an Academy Award would usually be prize of place in a trophy cabinet.
Yet Kate Winslet has a far more unusual place for her 2009 Oscar, as she revealed on Late Night With Seth Meyers that she keeps the statue in her bathroom.
The 40-year-old esteemed actress looked fantastic in a form-fitting black dress as she made the candid confession on the chat show and explained the bizarre placement is to allow guests to give fantasy acceptance speeches.

Kate, who is blazing the promotional trail with new biopic Steve Jobs, looked stunning as she charmed audiences while sporting a fitted black dress with capped sleeves and a slash neckline.
Chatting to Meyers, she hilariously revealed her Oscar for Best Actress, which she won in 2009 for The Reader, is kept in her lavatory.
The stunning star insisted that as most people make fake acceptance speeches to themselves using various household items, she keeps it there to allow guests to make their own speeches using an actual prize.

She said: 'Everyone, you know, most people I know have made a version of the fantasy acceptance speech whether it's with a hairspray, a Barbie doll, a shampoo bottle.
'But there's nothing like the real thing and everyone is shocked at that.
'But yeah... the Oscar is in the bathroom. You can always tell when people - because you hear the flush and then kind of a minute or two or three or four go by and then they come out red faced, you say, "Well. how was Oscar?’’'

As well as winning her Oscar, Kate was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in 1996 for Sense and Sensibility and Iris in 2009 and up for Best Actress in 1998 for Titanic, 2005 for Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind and Little Children in 2009.
Kate also revealed that Aaron Sorkin, the writer of Steve Jobs, ran an extremely tight ship while making the movie - as he would not allow any deviations from the script.
She said: 'Aaron writes the way people think, the way they talk. Every pause every stumble, every period mark is so important.'

‘If you do try and change anything at all, or you forget something, it all just goes to complete dogsh*t.‘It’s something we all figured out straight away.’
The stunning star explained that her co-star, John Daniels, who plays John Sculley in the movie, urged her to stick to the script.
Kate said: '[He said] ‘Learn the lines, learn the lines, learn the lines, learn the lines,’ she recalled.
Winslet called the film, which runs in three parts like a play, ‘so accomplished’.
