It's undoubtedly the most highly-anticipated collection of the year and after much hype, the Balmain x H&M lookbook has been unveiled in all its glory.

Despite not being available to buy until November 5, Balmain's creative director, Olivier Rousteing, and the high street giant are whetting shopper's appetites with these new images.

As the lookbook attests, it's full of the kind of glitzy, embellished and tailored designs the Hollywood brat pack have made their signature.

Fans of the label, which Olivier dubs his #BalmainArmy, include Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid and Jourdan Dunn - who all feature in his campaign - as well as Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner.

Many of the pieces are made with luxurious satin and come embellished with his signature pearl, rope and gold embroidery.

The pieces, which are reimaginings of his red carpet classics for fans on a budget, are structured and tailored to enhance the feminine form - something that makes him so popular among young Hollywood.

Whilst prices are yet to be revealed, according to The Telegraph, a limited edition' embellished dress worn by Gigi Hadid to a party during New York Fashion Week will cost £399. Pieces from his main collection do, however, retail at well over £1,000, so this is a more affordable collection.

Speaking to Vogue.com about the collaboration, Olivier said: 'I wanted to capture the confidence, sexiness, and power of the house. When you wear the clothes, you’re going to feel powerful and strong.'

The popular designer, who often arrives to award shows with Kendall Jenner on his arm, says he spent as much time designing this high street offering as he does on his main collection because he wanted everything to be 'perfect'.

The release of the lookbook comes days after Kathryn Swartz Rees, a Chicago-based writer, leaked what she believed to be the collection on her Instagram page.

Kathryn shared the images on her Instagram page, telling New York Magazine: 'The real story is terribly unexciting: H&M's site was indexed by Google and I happened to search at the right time using the right parameters. All images were taken from that H&M URL.

'No surprise, that site is no longer live. A good note to web dev teams working on super hot designer collabs: stay in your sandbox!'  

A spokesperson for H&M told MailOnline: 'Images from our Balmain x H&M collaboration have surfaced. 

'We are pleasantly surprised by our fans positive reaction to the collection and we look forward to share more from the #HMBalmaination in the coming weeks.'

It seems that Kathryn uses a technique called Google hacking, which uses Google's search engine - as well as other applications - to find security holes in codes and configurations used by websites. 

We were also given a sneak peek of the range thanks to the official campaign images, which were released last week.

The Balmain x H&M ads star Balmain favorites Kendall Jenner, 19, Gigi Hadid, 20, and 25-year-old Jourdan Dunn. 

The first released image from the new campaign features Kendall, Gigi, and Jourdan striking poses on a subway alongside male models Hao Yun Xiang and Dudley O'Shaughnessy, and three other ads featuring the strikings stars made their debut on Yahoo Style on Friday.

Gigi and Jourdan are wearing the brand's iconic embellished jackets, while Kendall looks chic in a monochrome ensemble with gold hinge rings on both hands.

The campaign, which reveals new pieces from both the men's and women's collections, was shot by Mario Sorrenti. 

Although Balmain's Fall 2015 looks were glitzy and over-the-top, the new H&M collection appears to be more stripped down, while still preserving the military-inspired detailing for which the designer is renowned.

The collection - being promoted with hashtag #HMBalmaination - will be available November 5 at 250 stores worldwide, as well as online.

Kendall and Jourdan both gave fans a preview of the collaboration when they attended the Billboard Music Awards back in May wearing looks from the line.

'When you love the Balmain world, you love the models that are part of it too. Kendall, Gigi and Jourdan are my friends, and they are the perfect choice to star in the Balmain x H&M campaign,' said Olivier Rousteing, the label’s creative director, in a statement. 

And the models are no strangers to working with the designer, as Kendall and Gigi also star in Balmain's Fall 2015 campaign alongside their sisters Kylie Jenner and Bella Hadid.

Olivier said that the Fall 2015 campaign was a 'celebration of the unique and unconditional love of siblings'.

In Kendall and Kylie's photo, the sisters went big and bold in glitzy, long-sleeve dresses, while the Hadid girls showed off some swinging fringe as a red dress-clad Bella applied lipstick to Gigi.

Model Joan Smalls and her sister Erika, a social entrepreneur who is not normally in front of the camera, were also featured in the campaign as they smoldered in gold and black tops, faux fur and wide green belts.

H&M's designer collaborations are eagerly anticipated every year, and the company has previously worked with many beloved designers including Alexander Wang, Stella McCartney and Karl Lagerfeld.

While Balmain's military-inspired looks can command four-figure price tags, H&M's past designer collaborations have offered accessories based as low as £6.50 ($10), T-shirts for around £19.55 ($30) and higher-prices pieces like jackets starting at around £162 ($250).
