She’s a born and bred Sydney girl, but it seems Lara Bingle is more interested in channelling America's Wild West during her stay in Australia.

The 28-year-old model was seen in her favourite blue plaid tweed jacket as she arrived at Melbourne airport on Friday.

The blonde beauty could be seen making her way across the terminal in the check jacket which she paired with a knee-length black skirt worn over a pair of mulberry Givenchy leather lace up boots.

As she capped the look off with the stand-out thigh high boots, Lara also accessorised her covered up look with a simple black leather cuff.

Wearing minimal makeup, Lara kept her cropped locks worn out in her signature ‘Bingle bob’ and donned oversize sunglasses on her face.

The jacket is proving to be an obvious favourite of Lara’s, with the mother-of-one spotted wearing the same number last September when she was around three months pregnant.

And after shedding her baby weight, the former swimsuit model looked pleased to be giving the jacket another whirl.

Meanwhile, her hiusband, Australian actor Sam Worthington and their six-month-old son Rocket Zot were nowhere to be seen during the outing.

It is assumed Sam and Rocket are remaining in Sydney whilst Lara carries out her media obligations in Melbourne.

She appeared on Channel Ten's The Project later on Friday to discuss her new role as the style ambassador for Westfield, which she is currently in Australia to promote.

Lara - who has since dropped her last name for that of her man - currently appears in Westfield's Today, I Am campaign.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, Lara revealed that her husband took considerable time off work to help with the baby.

'Sam helped me a lot,' she confessed.

'He took some time off work and did some feeds in the night which is awesome – that’s why there are two parents!'

Lara also complained that stay-at-home mums don't get the recognition that they deserve.

'Stay-at-home mums should get a full-time wage,' she said, adding that she is in awe of mothers that also have a full-time job.

In addition to being a mother to baby Rocket, Lara is now hard at work promoting her own self-tanning line, The Base.

'I have been the face of a lot of brands and wanted to own something for myself - creating a website, formula, packaging, everything - I wanted to learn.'

Lara revealed she will be adding two new products to the collection in the next few months - a lip and cheek tint and a multi-purpose contouring product.

Of the original collection, she names the LB cream as her most loved product for everyday use: 'It covers more than a tinted moisturiser but not as heavy as a foundation.'
