Veteran The View producer sues Rosie O'Donnell for being a 'bully' and says she feared the comedian would assault her
- Jennifer Shepard-Brookman was with the show for eight years when she lost her job in March, Page Six reports
- She filed a lawsuit in Manhattan Supreme Court on Thursday claiming she was scared of O'Donnell and reduced to tears
- At the time the producer was fired it emerged the two had a major spat
- O'Donnell's attorney called the claims 'baseless'
A long-time producer for The View who says she was fired for calling out Rosie O'Donnell is now suing the 'bully' comedian, claiming she feared for her safety.
Former senior producer Jennifer Shepard-Brookman lost her job after being 'profoundly and publicly disrespectful' to the co-host back in February, Page Six reported.
She was initially suspended, but then fired, after eight years with the program.
On Thursday Shepard-Brookman filed a lawsuit in Manhattan Supreme Court, claiming she was 'scared of Rosie and thought she was going to be assaulted', according to court documents.

See you in court: Former senior producer Jennifer Shepard-Brookman (left) lost her job at The View earlier this year after a reported spat with co-host Rosie O'Donnell, and is now suing for damages
The lawsuit cites an incident in September 2014, claiming Shepard-Brookman was reduced to tears.
O'Donnell was angry that Shepard-Brookman shifted coverage of the ISIS beheading of US journalist James Foley to co-host Whoopi Goldberg.
The suit claims O'Donnell got right up in her face and was shouting.
Shepard-Brookman believed O'Donnell might hit her, the documents say.
She says she was fired out of spite after that and some other run-ins with O'Donnell.
O'Donnell's attorney Nicolle Jacoby told The Wrap the allegations were 'baseless'.
But when Shepard-Brookman left the show earlier this year, there were reports of another spat between the two.
'During a production meeting, Jennifer began mumbling behind Rosie, who told her, 'If you have something to say, say it to my face!' So Jennifer did — she laced into Rosie, and there was a shouting match,' a source told The New York Post.
Booted: Shepard-Brookman, an 8-year veteran of the show, was reportedly suspended in February, around the time of O'Donnell's departure, and then fired
Complaints: Staff who say the producer's outburst and Rosie herself reported complained to top ABC brass
Staff members, including O'Donnell, were appalled enough by her behavior to complain.
ABC top brass then terminated Shepard-Brookman.
O'Donnell announced she is leaving The View for a second time not long afterwards.
Her publicist said at the time the outspoken co-host of the ABC daytime chat show would be exiting to focus on her five children.
The 52-year-old O'Donnell had returned to The View only last summer.
Her initial yearlong stay ended stormily in 2007.
Her second exit was rumored to be because of a fallout with Whoopi Goldberg.
'During a production meeting, Jennifer began mumbling behind Rosie, who told her, 'If you have something to say, say it to my face!' So Jennifer did — she laced into Rosie, and there was a shouting match,' the source said
The lawsuit comes at a raw time for O'Donnell, who has had a very public fallout with her daughter, Chelsea.
In an interview with The Daily Mail Online, Chelsea said O'Donnell was duplicitous and projects a different image to the public.
'I find her not genuine a lot of the time,' she said.
'When we'd go out, she was a completely different person in public than at home and I had a hard time with that.
'It's like two different people.'
