Tracy, 46, was looking in good shape as he sauntered into the studio in a black pullover, head bandana, keans and leather shoes. He added an extra dash of class to his look with a chunky gold chain.

He used his injuries to get laughs during his SNL appearance promo video, saying, 'Did I used to work here? I can't remember anymore,' before later finally using his catchphrase, 'I'm going to get everyone in this building pregnant.'

The father-of-four has been on a lengthy journey to recovery after a truck crashed into the back of his limo in June 2014.

The car accident, which occurred in New Jersey, left the star with a traumatic brain injury that affected his ability to walk and speak.

Sixteen months after the crash, which killed his friend and comedian, James 'Jimmy Mack' McNair, the actor is getting back into the swing of things.

After months of recovery, including using a cane to help him walk, the actor has gone and jumped full throttle back into his work, appearing on stage for the first time since his accident in two stand up comedy shows on Monday night.

The surprise live stand up performances occurred in New York City at The Comedy Cellar and The Stand Up.

The New York-born actor tweeted his return to the stage, writing on October 12: 'My first time on stage in 16 months at the #ComedyCellar! Picking up the pieces!'
