Bob Geldof's bride Jeanne Marine looks exquisite in a Bardot-style lace gown... as she's seen on their wedding day for the first time

Their official ceremony in September and initial April nuptials were shrouded in secrecy.

But 64-year-old Bob Geldof's 2015 wedding to partner of 19 years Jeanne Marine, 49, was seen for the first time this week when her dress designer took to Instagram a video of her gown.

Sauntering up and down the dancefloor in an exquisite Bardot-style ivory lace dress, Bob's new bride Jeanne was captured looking elated on her big day to The Boomtown Rats singer.

The dress, designed by Morv London, featured a sweeping train; a mixture of sheer and concealed panels, as well as delicate off-the-shoulder sleeves.

It showcased her lithe frame with a fitted, elongated bodice that flared out at her lower hips in a traditional fishtail design.

With a veil cascading from her elegant up-do, the brunette wore her hands on her hips and modelled her dress by parading up and down as if on a catwalk while she was videoed.

Geldof's daughters Fifi, 32; and Pixie, 25; along with adopted daughter Tiger Lily, 19, were also pictured wearing their ivory satin bridesmaid gowns at the formal ceremony.

Each daughter wore a different style, unique to their individual tastes and distinctive appearances, and seemed to be having the time of their lives.

The trio, along with their late sister Peaches, were brought up largely by Bob and his first wife Paula Yates, who tragically died of a heroin overdose in 2000.

Similarly, Peaches, a young mother-of-two at the time, sadly succumbed to the same drug in April 2014 and left the family heartbroken.

It's the first time that the family have been seen at the 2015 wedding, which comprised an April ceremony and then an official ceremony, surrounded by A-list guests, in South of France on September 20.

Pictured in the new social media insights, U2's frontman Bono was among the guests, and Demi Moore, Sarah Ferguson and Richard Branson were also known to be some of the high-profile attendees.

Bob and Jeanne met at a dinner party in 1996, shortly after the Live Aid founder split from his first wife, Paula Yates.

The Live Aid founder proposed to Jeanne shortly after Peaches' tragic death, and the French actress has helped him though dark times.

He confirmed reports of their initial wedding in May, telling reporters briefly: 'I’m really happy. It was a good day. It was great fun.'

Speaking about his relationship in 2012, the Live Aid founder said: 'I found love in the shape of a woman called Jeanne. I wasn’t looking for it. I’m so lucky, someone is looking after me.

'It was an improbable encounter between a woman who doesn’t speak English and a boy who doesn’t speak French, between a stunning, beautiful woman and a ruined, ruined man.

'Why did she like me? It is a late realisation for the ageing Geldof that all humans are loveable. I love her. I thought I would never get this again.'
