A grandmother who killed her husband and son-in-law after driving drunk through her Washington state home and crashing into a lake with her three-year-old grandson sitting on her lap last year has been ordered to back to jail.
Carol Fedigan, 69, had been allowed to remain out of jail after pleading guilty to two counts of vehicular homicide in Sammamish, Washington. A provision in her plea agreement required that the woman abstain from alcohol.
Earlier this month, KOMO reported that Ms Fedigan was arrested after an alcohol monitoring ankle bracelet indicated that she had consumed alcohol.
Ms Fedigan's lawyer, Briteney Mercer, tried to help her client remain out of jail until her sentencing on October 30 by arguing in a Wednesday hearing that the monitoring device had 'malfunctioned.'

Guilty: Carol Fedigan, 69, is being ordered back to jail after she violated a provision in her plea agreement that required her to abstain from alcohol
Earlier this month, Ms Fedigan (right) was arrested after an alcohol monitoring ankle bracelet indicated that she had consumed alcohol. Last year she killed two people when she drove her SUV through her house
The Jeep smashed a hole in the lake house as it powered through a front wall. Carol Fedigan was driving with her 3-year-old grandson sitting on her lap
In addition, Mercer also brought a witness who testified a urine test 28 hours after the reading indicated no alcohol was in Ms Fedigan's system, KOMO reported.
'She absolutely denies that she consumed alcohol,' Mercer told KOMO.

The judge was not convinced saying the defense did not present clear and convincing evidence that the woman would not be a danger to the Sammamish community.
Ms Fedigan was arrested after the tragic May 2014 accident when officers came to suspect that she was driving under the influence.
Her husband, David Walker, 70, was killed inside of their home when she smashed through the living room.
Ms Fedigan's daughter, Megan Berry, and son-in-law, Sean Berry, were on the back porch at the time of the crash. They were were both run over by the speeding car.
Her daughter survived the accident and suffered serious injuries to her face and body, KCPQ reported.
Sean Berry died from his injuries at Harborview Medical Center.
The SUV came to a stop with its back wheels caught on the porch and its front end dangling in the lake.
The toddler was not hurt - nor was Ms Fedigan.

Originally, the woman pleaded not guilty to the charges, but later admitted to being impaired by a dangerous mix of alcohol and Ambien, a powerful sedative, KCPQ reported.
The prosecutor's office said that the decision to jail the Ms Fedigan does not change her plea agreement.
Ms Fedigan is expected to be sentenced to six years in prison.
Walker's sister, Betty Halley, attended the hearing and believes that her sister-in-law did indeed violate her agreement by consuming alcohol.
'Right now I just want to cry,' Halley told KOMO. 'But I'm not jumping up and down with joy over this because the whole thing was horrific.
'There are so many people who have suffered through this and will continue to suffer.'
Ms Fedigan will remain in the King County Jail until her sentencing at the end of the month.
