Courteney Cox means business in blazer as she shows support for ex-husband David Arquette at the premiere of his play

They've stayed on good terms since their 2013 divorce.

And on Thursday night, Courteney Cox showed her support for her ex-husband David Arquette when she attended the premiere of his new play, Sherlock Holmes.

The 51-year-old was spotted exiting a parking lot adjacent to The Ricardo Montalban Theatre in Hollywood, where David's performance was held.

Courteney kept it comfortable for the play's big night, donning a sheer black top that exposed her bra and a pair of tight black jeans belted at the waistline.

She polished off the look with black leather loafers, a gold necklace, and small hoop earrings.

Courteney slicked her jet black locks back into an easy and no-fuss hairdo, and she clutched a cool water bottle as she walked out of the parking lot, accompanied by a group of peple who also appeared to be attending the play.

The Friends star did not appear to be joined by her fiance Johnny McDaid, who is a member of the band Snow Patrol.

Courteney was previously married to David, 44, for 14 years before finalising their divorce in May 2013.

Now David is married to 34-year-old entertainment journalist Christina McLarty.

The couple, who tied the knot in April, are parents to one-year-old Charlie.

In the years that have followed their split, Courteney and David have proven to be amicable exes.

The actress even directed David in her film Just Before I Go, and she told Us Weekly that she had a pleasant experience working with her former husband.

'It’s so nice to direct someone you know so well because you know their go-tos and you know what they fall back on…I really liked working with him,' she said.

Courteney and David are parents to their 11-year-old daughter Coco.

The actress' outing comes just a short while after it was claimed singer Ed Sheeran is planning on 'becoming an ordained minister' so that he can marry Courteney and her Snow Patrol rocker beau, after introducing them to one another just over a year and a half ago.

Sources claim the actress and rocker both agree 'it's extremely fitting' for the British star to have a special role on their big day.

‘He had already agreed to perform a couple of ballads after they exchange vows, so it seemed logical to him that he should get them hitched too,’ an insider said, according to The Daily Star

The source added: 'He's bursting with pride to have played matchmaker to Johnny and Court and he's told them he’s up for anything that will help make their special day truly memorable.'

The Hollywood star previously revealed that Ed - who recently also helped Rixton singer Jake Roche propose to Little Mix fiancée Jesy Nelson - will play an integral part at her wedding.

'We are certainly grateful to Ed for introducing us,’ she told The Sun in August. 'I can't imagine him not playing something at the wedding.'
