Lamar Odom has awoken from his coma and spoken to his estranged wife Khloe Kardashian, three days after he was found unconscious at a brothel.

The former basketball player said 'Hey Baby' to Khloe, according to Page Six, and is now reportedly slowly taken off his ventilator, which will be replaced with a breathing mask.

A source also told People of Lamar's medical condition; 'The CAT scan came back clean, and they're slowing taking him off each machine. He's off dialysis and that looks good. We're hopeful.'

Despite divorcing in July, Khloe could inherit a 'large chunk' of Odom's fortune, which is believed to be around $56million, if he does not pull through, TMZ reported.

It said the couple signed a pre-nup which separated their money but sources close to the family claim Odom does not have a will which means, under the laws of California, she would be entitled to one-third of his net worth if he were to die.

His children Lamar Jr. and Destiny certainly appeared to have received some good news as they were photographed smiling Friday evening after leaving the hospital, along with their grandfather Joe.

Entertainment Tonight meanwhile has released the itemized bill from Lamar's stay at the Love Ranch brothel, which breaks down what he spent his money on and reveals that prostitutes Ryder Cherry and Monica Monroe were made available to Lamar for the price of $37,500 - each.

He also spent $100 on transportation to the establishment, racked up a bar tab of $1,036 and shelled out $3,000 on another women whose name is Simone Sinclair. 

'It was Lamar's idea. He said, "I'll give you two girls for $75,000 the entire time I'm there -- minimum of four days and max of five days,"' said brothel owner Dennis Hof. 

'We picked him up at his place in Las Vegas, brought him out there, great mood, ready to have a good time. He just wanted a little peace and quiet and get away from the pressures of his life.'

'He was so sweet. This all turned into an absolute tragedy,' said one Love Ranch employee.

It is not known what Lamar and Simone did together or why he paid the young woman - who is a Kardashian look-alike - $3,000. 

In an interview with Access Hollywood on Friday, brothel manager TJ Moore said that Lamar had all the women at the ranch sign confidentiality agreements on Sunday while also revealing it was phone calls from his assistant that made the basketball player upset that day.

She also said that he had watched an episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians while he was at the establishment. 

The 35-year-old is believed to have suffered a stroke after overdosing on drugs during a four-day bender at the brothel in Pahrump, Nevada.

While his family's prayers have been answered, it's still uncertain what long term damage the former LA Lakers star faces. 

In an interview with USA Today, Lamar's former coach at the University of Rhode Island Jim Harrick described the moment that Lamar came out of his coma after he heard Khloe's voice.

'She reached down and said "you know I love you" and he kind of nodded,' said Harrick. 

'Three or four days after being scared to death and fearing the worst, that is a little hope, a little progress. She texted me that (information).'

On Friday, Liza Morales, the mother of Lamar's children, wrote on Twitter; 'The TRUTH is God is good. All the time. Continued prayers for my children and their father. Thank you for the support and well wishes.' 

Since Odom's collapse, his prospects of recovery have looked grim according to several outlets who gave reports that he was 'in dire straights' and with just a 50/50 chance of survival. 

It was previously reported that four of Odom's organs - including his kidneys - were failing and that doctors were losing hope for him the longer he was in a coma. 

The good news about Odom's breakthrough comes after security footage emerged which appears to show him taking pills and drinking with a prostitute in the brothel where he was found unconscious.

The surveillance clip reportedly shows the basketball star slumped over in his seat as he is given a drink and a shot by the bikini-clad woman at the Love Ranch Vegas on Saturday – three days before he collapsed.

Odom, 35, is later apparently seen taking a pill out of a small bag and popping it into his mouth, it was reported by Radar Online.

However, it is not clear from the grainy footage what the person was taking or whether he did ingest anything. 

Kris Jenner and her daughters Kim, Kourtney and Kylie were seen arriving at the hospital together on Thursday, and left a few hours later, boarding a private jet out of town. The women looked somber for the hospital visit, wearing all black and sunglasses. Khloe refused to leave Odom's side. 

A report by the New York Daily News claimed that Caitlyn Jenner flew to be with Khloe, but a rep for Jenner told US Weekly those reports are false. 

The Kardashian family reportedly plan to fly back to Las Vegas this weekend to spend more time with Odom.

Posting identical statements online last night, Khloe, Kim, Kendall, Kylie and Kourtney said they had suspended all activity on their paid-for apps while they focus on his recovery.

Explaining their lack of activity to fans, they said: 'As a family we've decided to hold off on publishing content across our apps while we continue to support and pray for Lamar. 

'Thank you for your kindness and understanding during this difficult time. 

Lamar Odom's children, Lamar Jr and Destiny, have also spoken about their father, after Khloe reportedly paid to fly them to Las Vegas. 

In a statement given to E! News, they said: 'Thanks for your outpouring of prayers and support for our dad. 

'We are here with our family and friends. We appreciate everyone respecting our privacy at this time. We ask for your continued prayers.

Since Odom was placed in a medically-induced coma on Tuesday, a Nevada brothel madam came out and told the story of how the tormented former basketball player poured his heart out to her during his stay at the ranch. 

WHAT HAPPENS TO YOUR BODY WHEN YOU OVERDOSE? 

In severe cases an overdose can induce a stroke, which occurs when the blood supply to the brain is interrupted or reduced

An overdose occurs where a person takes a quantity of drugs that their body is unable to cope with. 

There are a number of signs and symptoms that a person has overdosed, that depend on the type of drug used.

DEPRESSANT OVERDOSE

Opioids, benzodiazephines and alcohol are all depressants, which means they slow the central nervous system, affecting breathing and heart rate.

Too much of any of these drugs can kill or cause permanent brain damage.

Overdoing it on alcohol can cause seizures, irregular breathing and unconsciousness.

STIMULANT OVERDOSE

Where a person overdoses on amphetamines, such as speed and ice, they are at high risk of suffering a heart attack, stroke, seizure or drug-induced psychotic episodes.

Signs and symptoms include:

chest pain severe headache seizures difficulty breathing hallucinations unconsciousness

MIXING DRUGS

Taking a cocktail of different illicit drugs at once puts undue strain on the body, and dramatically increases the risk of overdose and the subsequent health complications.

Hypoxic brain injury, caused by a lack of oxygen to the brain, is often a consequence of heroin overdose.

The brain injuries can cause coma, seizures and in the worst cases, brain death.

The longer a person is not breathing, the more potential damage is done, because the brain is being deprived of oxygen.

WHAT TRIGGERS A STROKE?  

In severe cases, overdose can trigger a stroke, as well as heart attack, and severe respiratory problems.

Lifestyle factors including heavy or binge drinking and indulging in the use of illicit drugs, such as cocaine and methamphetamines, are both recognised by experts risk factors for stroke.

A stroke occurs when the blood supply to your brain is interrupted or reduced, experts at the Mayo Clinic state.

The condition can be caused by a blocked artery - known as an ischemic stroke - or the leaking or bursting of a blood vessel - known as a haemorrhagic stroke.

A haemorrhagic stroke happens when a blood vessel in the brain leaks or ruptures.

Haemorrhages can be caused by a number of conditions that affect blood vessels, typically uncontrolled high blood pressure, as well as weak spots in blood vessel walls, known as aneurysms.

Within the definition of haemorrhagic stroke, there are two different kinds.

An intracerebral haemorrhage is where a blood vessel bursts and spills into the surrounding brain tissue, damaging brain cells.

Any brain cells that lie beyond the leak do not receive oxygenated blood and are therefore also damaged.

High blood pressure and trauma are among the factors that can trigger this type of bleed.

Meanwhile the second form is a subarachnoid haemorrhage.

This is where an artery on, or near the surface of the brain bursts and spills into the space between the surface of your brain and skull.

This type of bleed is often signalled by a sudden and severe headache.

A subarachnoid haemorrhage is commonly caused by an aneurysm bursting, and can cause the blood vessels in the brain to widen and narrow erratically, causing brain cell damage by restricting blood flow.

In an exclusive interview with Daily Mail Online, Love Ranch general manager TJ Moore revealed how the ailing reality star enjoyed as many as six private 'party sessions' each day with a pair of blonde hookers.

The two-time NBA champ picked Ryder Cherry and Monica Monroe from a parade-style line-up that included a transsexual escort and five other scantily-clad women - before summoning the girls to his private suite.

He also stunned staff with his bottomless appetite, gorging on KFC buckets and three T-bone steaks at a time - and by asking for private time with grandmother-of-two Moore, 52, who runs the ranch for boss Dennis Hof.

'It was surprising. I was a little nervous at first but it was clear he just wanted to talk,' TJ told Daily Mail Online. 'He's been hurt a lot, I think he doesn't know who to trust.

'I was with him for quite a while. He was mellow, melancholy almost. He gave me a kiss on the cheek, like a son would kiss a mother.'

Among the women included for Lamar to pick - reportedly at his personal request - was transsexual Love Ranch worker Madison Montag.

'In the car on the way out there [from Las Vegas] he talked about the fact that he had met Madison Montag, our transsexual prostitute, online... and he wanted to meet her,' ranch owner Dennis Hof said in an interview with Todd Shapiro and Jay Brady of Sirius XM 168’s Todd Shapiro, reports Radar Online.

Hof claimed the two had met through Instagram.  

Radar also reported that Odom indulged in a $5,000-a-day bender at The Spearmint Rhino in Las Vegas just a week before his binge at the Love Ranch.

A dancer at the high-end gentleman's club said the star spent five consecutive days in the VIP room and allegedly asked staff for sexual favors.

'He was spending money like crazy,' the woman said, adding that he splashed out $5,000 a day on alcohol, non-stop lap dances and VIP treatment.

'He was making all the girls drink and party with him,' she added.

The insider claims she and other girls were asked to 'entertain him' but she refused his sexual advances because she heard he was 'difficult and demanding'. 

News of his time at the Love Ranch brothel comes as a new report sheds light on Odom and Khloe's tormented relationship in the weeks before his tragic overdose during the $75,000 bender.

According to Radar Online, Odom had 'pleaded' with Khloe to stop recording his phone calls for her reality show, but she reportedly ignored his requests, saying he owed her after the way he treated her during their marriage.

'Khloe would either ignore the texts and voice mail messages asking her to stop, or she would tell him, "You owe me this after you humiliated me by cheating with other women",' the source said. 

This comes from an insider who told the gossip site that they believe the Kardashians 'have blood on their hands' for 'demonizing and exploiting' Odom on their show. 

'Lamar had no idea that he was going to be Khloe's storyline during the past season. She is always talking about how much she loves the guy, but has no problem exploiting Lamar for her gain. 

'How low can Khloe go?' the source asked. 'Lamar would call her sobbing about losing his best friend this past summer, and the first thing she thinks is to document it?'

This echoes previous statements from Hof and prostitutes at the Love Ranch who said Odom became 'irate' and inconsolable after talking to someone on the phone on Sunday, allegedly about his portrayal on the show.

While Odom and Khloe have been separated since 2013, he has still remained a central point on the family's reality show. 

One plot point on a recent episode involved Kim getting mad at Khloe for 'flirting' with her ex-husband on the phone. 

The two signed divorce papers in July, but their split has not been finalized, so Khloe has been by Odom's side at the hospital, making medical decisions.

While the couple's divorce has alienated Odom from the Kardashians in recent years, news of his collapse has brought the family together again, showing their deep-seated love for the former LA Lakers player. 

Meanwhile, the father of star's best friend, who died from drug use in June, said he believed the pair had a 'death wish'.

Guillermo Castillo, who lost his son Jamie Sangouthai to a flesh-eating bacteria he caught through intravenous drug use, told the New York Daily News: 'I think Lamar is done. I think most of it is because he missed my son so much.

'I think deep inside they had a death wish, or a wish to die together. It sounds very cold-blooded, but I have a hard time controlling my emotions.'

THE LOVE RANCH: LEGAL BROTHEL WHERE LAMAR ODOM WAS FOUND UNCONSCIOUS

Lamar Odom was found unconscious on Tuesday afternoon by two prostitutes named Ryder Cherry and Monica Monroe at Dennis Hof's Love Ranch, the legal brothel where he was partying for days.

The establishment in Crystal, Nevada, is just one of the sex-for-cash businesses in the state owned by the star of the HBO series Cathouse, who also has the Moonlite BunnyRanch in Carson City.

The Love Ranch, which is located about 80 miles north of Las Vegas, offers a number of services including 4-Play for Two, Oil Wrestling, Viagra and Vibrators, and the Girlfriend Experience (GFE).

Hof, a 68-year-old Arizona native, bought the Love Ranch in 2010, Las Vegas Weekly reported. He owns nine brothels and a strip club in Nevada, according to CNBC.

In addition to a VIP section, the newly renovated Love Ranch features a bar and massage rooms. The Love Ranch and Hof's other brothels also have Jacuzzi rooms, hot tubs, and water rooms.

There are sometimes as many as 50 women working on-site at the 24-hour brothels and they are open 365 days a year in order to provide services with no appointment required.

Patrons are allowed to attempt to 'line up' one of the ladies beforehand online, but they can also just go to the bar and drink to try and find a date.

The ranch accepts credit and debit cards and shows up on bills as 'Cash Advance, Lake Tahoe'. Cash is also accepted and although tipping is not required, it is somewhat encouraged.

Between all of the ranches, including the Love Ranch, there are more than 500 licensed ladies and each one of the brothels typically services between 50 and 100 clients per day. 

Among the options for customers at the Love Ranch is the GFE, which is described on the brothel's website: 'Imagine a girl you can truly be yourself around. A lady you can share your erotic desires and intimate moments with. 

Someone who is always happy to see you, accepts you for who you are, as you are and is waiting to fulfill your every need - physical, emotional, sexual... with no strings attached.'

The women who work at the ranch are independent contractors so there are no set prices in place, but customers at the brothel reportedly have to shell out hundreds of dollars to get tended to.

Castillo said of Lamar and Jamie's friendship: 'They were so close. They wouldn't even go to the bathroom without asking the other. They couldn't live without each other.'

Jamie was the best man at Lamar's 2009 wedding to Khloe, and also appeared on the couple's E! reality show Khloe & Lamar.

And while Castillo had nothing but kind words to say about Khloe, he did say that he warned Lamar to avoid the pitfalls of fame when the basketball star called him in June shortly after Jamie's death.

'I told him, "I'm a street kid, walk the F away from everything right now because Hollywood is going to eat you up and spit you out too." But he had money and status. Why would he listen to me?' said Castillo.

That was the last time he spoke to Lamar, saying that despite repeated attempts to reach out he never was able to get in touch because he would constantly change his phone number.

Lamar suffered tragedy yet again shortly after Jamie's death, when another friend - Bobby Heyward - died of a drug overdose.
