Audrey was also Hank's manager and duet partner before their divorce the year before his death.
The movie follows the singer's meteoric rise to fame with hits including Hey,Good Looking and Rambling Man, and its ultimately tragic effect on his health and personal life.
Hank suffered from spina bifida and used alcohol and morphine to control the pain, which contributed to his sudden death while on the way to a gig.

It is based on the book, Hank Williams: The Biography by Colin Escott, George Merritt and Bill MacEwen.
Director Marc Abraham began developing the film in 2009 and adapted the screenplay himself, according to Variety. But it took another five years to get the rights to the singer's music.
Named after Hank's 1948 song, I Saw The Light screened in the Special Presentations section of the Toronto International Film Festival in September. It hits theaters on November 27.
