He's not ashamed of the body he has spent many hours building up.

But Justin Bieber has revealed that he was shocked when naked snaps of himself on holiday in Bora Bora in the South Pacific were published by the New York Daily News and then hit the Internet earlier this month.

The 21-year-old opened up to Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush in a new interview due to air Monday, which was previewed on the show's website on Friday.

The Never Say Never star managed to see the funny side of the situation, joking: 'That was shrinkage for me.'

However, Justin added: 'My first thing was like, how can they do this? Like, I feel super violated. Like, I feel like I can't step outside and feel like I can go outside naked.

'You should feel comfortable in your own space - especially that far away.'

The superstar was on vacation with model Jayde Pierce when he stepped out of their hut, built on stilts over the ocean, for a dip in their private pool.

The well-endowed singer let it all hang out, much to the delight of fans and his father Jeremy Bieber who called himself a 'proud daddy.'

He joked, 'What do you feed that thing?' in a since deleted tweet, according to Us Weekly.

But the extra publicity likely didn't do Justin any harm. 

In September he notched up his first No.1 single on the Billboard Hot 100 with What Do You Mean?

Justin told Billy: 'To have a Billboard No. 1 is really special...I think I'm the youngest person to debut at No. 1, which is pretty awesome.'

And he's likely hoping his new album, Purpose, which is due to drop on November 13, will achieve the same feat.
