And Reese Witherspoon's character Elle Woods still appeared to be on her mind when she got dressed on Friday.

The 39-year-old's tight-fitting candy-pink sweater could have been picked straight out of Elle's wardrobe.

Reese paired the short-sleeved jumper with skinny jeans, which highlighted her shapely legs, and kept her feet comfortable in leopard print ballet flats.

The actress was travelling light with a large red handbag and a navy tote covered in a large and bright floral print.

Reese's glossy platinum blonde locks were styled poker straight, and she accessorised with a gold chain necklace and retro sunglasses.

The blonde beauty is said to be serving as executive producer on an as yet untitled romantic mystery drama, with Rob Long (who previously worked on Cheers) acting as producer.

Reese recently admitting that balancing parenthood with her career is not easy, but added that her three children (Ava, 16, Deacon, 11, and Tennessee, three) make the effort all worthwhile.

She told Southern Living Magazine: 'No one’s really doing it perfectly. I think you love your kids with your whole heart, and you do the best you possibly can.

'There are some sacrifices you make, and it hurts your heart sometimes, but my kids tell me they’re proud of what I’ve accomplished, and that just means everything.'
