Poor Paris Hilton can't catch a break this year.

After being pranked in a terrifying fake plane crash several months ago, the former TV star found herself in the middle of another scary drama this week.

But unfortunately for Paris, this time it appeared to be very real as she got stuck in a crowded elevator in Beijing for about an hour - and understandably began to freak out.

In a video obtained by TMZ, which Paris also shared on Snapchat, the socialite appears relatively calm at the beginning but gets gradually more and more panicked as the group remain trapped.

'I can't believe I'm stuck in the elevator right now' the blonde heiress says as cellphone ringtones can be heard going off around her.

'This sucks. Oh my god,' she wailed 'We're still stuck, please get us out of here!'

As things progress and mechanics fail to rescue the group, Paris and the other occupants start to swear.

'Sh*t. Please get us out of here. It's so hot' Paris moaned.

It seemed like Paris Hilton was having the time of her life on her recent visit to China. The socialite was spotted at a number of events in Shanghai and Beijing where she wore one designer ensemble after another.

During a press conference the international DJ donned a monochrome minidress and a cape blazer which she teamed with a handbag from her eponymous line and a pair of Alaïa ankle boots.

The suede stunners included woven patent leather strips and elastic panels on the sides for maximum comfort and style.

Paris isn't the only fan of the talented French designer, his legion of loyal followers includes Jennifer Hudson, Beyonce and Naomi Campbell as well.

Hairy situation: The socialite and the other lift occupants were eventually saved when a man bravely put his arm into the elevator shaft to get the doors open

Eventually someone on the outside comes to the rescue, risking his life by poking his arm into the elevator shaft and prising open the doors of the lift at around 1am local time.

'You saved our life and got us out, thank you!' the statuesque blonde hailed the hero and encouraged everyone to give him a round of applause.

Before the elevator drama, Paris appeared to have just come from a promotional event, dressed up in large sunglasses and kitten ears.

She is currently in China to celebrate Chinese company Young Essence becoming the general agent of her own fashion brand Paris Hilton.
