The mother-of-five revealed on today's This Morning that people couldn't believe it when she forgave her third husband, Kieran, 28, for sleeping with her former friends Jane Pountney and Chrissy Thomas.

But she said she has no regrets about taking him back, saying things are better now they have worked through issues he had in his past.

She told presenters Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford: 'Everyone said I shouldn't stay with him, I knew stuff had happened in his past, I know that is not an excuse but more has happened to him, even a therapist said they couldn't work with him.

'But them he turned a leaf and moved forward. I am so pleased I stayed with him.'

She said she is 'a prime example' that marriage can survive infidelity. 'If you stick to it, you can work through it,' she said as she fielded calls from viewers on a phone-in with agony aunt Denise Robertson.

The glamour model from Sussex revealed her friends and family have forgiven him now too.

She said: 'People who said I should leave him love him to bits again. Now they say to him. "I can't believe you were like that". Some people do deserve a chance, mine was a horrific situation but I am so glad I stayed with him.'

While Katie, 37, has forgiven Kieran, with whom she has a son Jett, two, and daughter, Bunny, one, she has cut off all contact with her former friends since the shocking news of their affairs came to light.

She also appears to be less forgiving another of her ex-partners, Alex Reid.

She said on This Morning that she could 'destroy him' with footage she has of him - which she has threatened to make it public if he continues to sell stories about her.

She married the kickboxer in 2010 but they divorced the following year, with Katie saying his sexually deviant tendencies were to blame for their split.

He has since talked about her to the press, prompting her to send a Tweet threatening to share videos of him cross dressing as his alter ego Roxanne.

In the Tweet she wrote: 'Wish alex reid would stop selling stories about me! I'm sure if people saw pic&vid clips of him as roxanne its enough to turn anyone off.'

Elaborating on why she sent this Tweet today, she said: 'I could have embarrassed him like anything and destroyed him with what [videos and pictures] I've got, but I haven't because I'm not that kind of person. But that [Twitter post] was a hint [telling him] "stop what you're doing".'

Katie appeared on This Morning to debate whether it is acceptable to 'air your dirty laundry' in public by taking to social media to lambast an ex.

She admitted she has no regrets about being so outspoken about her old flames - and doesn't worry about the impact on her children, especially as she remains on good terms with her first husband, Peter Andre, with whom she has son Junior, ten, and daughter Princess, eight.

She added that all her children have lived through the ups and downs of her love life and she is always honest with them - because if she isn't, they will only read about it or be told by their friends at school.

She added: 'In my whole life, the only thing I ever regret was doing Eurovision!'

Katie dressed up for her appearance on the ITV show in a khaki shirt dress with thigh high boots which she accessorised with a gold belt and chunky diamante necklace.

As she left the studios on London's South Bank, she changed into a more comfortable two polo-neck two piece and high top trainers.
