So Rachel Zoe returned to the days when she stuck with simple black outfits on Thursday as she styled an UGG photoshoot in West Hollywood.

The 44-year-old fashion expert added a little Seventies twist by way of flared trousers as she showed off her super slim frame.

The stylist-to-the-stars made it a family affair as she brought her sons Kaius, one, and Skyler, four along to work with her.

Luckily her husband Roger Bergman, 44, is also her co-star on her reality show so was on hand while she was busy styling model Maggie Laine.

Maggie looked ready for winter, while Rachel stripped down from her military style jacket to a black vest top which showed off her toned arms.

The fashion darling is in the middle of a career transformation, several years following the cancellation of her Bravo reality show, The Rachel Zoe Project.

She stars in a new weekly talk show with her husband Rodger, which started on Lifetime last month.

The show, called Fashionably Late With Rachel Zoe, also stars fashion editor and renowned celebrity pal Derek Blasberg.

Describing the new project, Rachel gave fans a taste of what to expect when she announced the talk show on her website in July.

'It will be like a typical day at my Los Angeles office - only with slightly better lighting...It's basically like the most glamorous cocktail party with the chicest guests ever,' she wrote.

Rachel, who is arguably one of the most well known stylists of the 2000s, is known for popularizing the so-called boho-chic looked that consists of over-sized jewelry and loose fitting clothes.

She married investment banker Rodger in 1996.
