Even the current queen of pop isn't immune to the errant knife wound.

Taylor Swift, 25, shared a picture of a heavily bandaged left thumb on Instagram on Saturday.

She accompanied it with the caption: 'band aids don't fix kitchen knife-related injuries.'

The caption was a tongue-in-cheek play on a lyric from her hit Bad Blood, which reads 'Band-aids don't fix bullet holes.'

In the snap, Taylor's left thumb is completely wrapped with white gauze. A ring on her left index finger features the letters 'T S' in gold.

The number '13' is also prominently drawn onto the gauze in black pen.

Apparently the duo made some delicious chocolate peppermint cookies for a 'girls' baking night.'

Boyfriend Calvin Harris, 31, has also documented the singing sensation's cooking abilities, posting a picture of Taylor barbecuing in front of a beautiful seascape.

The incident comes on the heels of Taylor's GQ article and pictorial spread, where the 1989 singer addressed allegations that her song Bad Blood was about Katy Perry, and had the chance to show off her dazzling bikini body.
