If your offspring harbours a passion for singing, acting or dancing they'll be able to hone their theatrical talents on holiday next summer.

Travel giant Thomas Cook has announced it will host a Superstar stage school at family resorts in Portugal, Fuerteventura and Mallorca in 2005.

Schools will take place during next year's Whit week (end of May) and the school summer holidays.

'Kids between the ages of eight and 13 will get the chance to have voice coaching as well as lessons in singing, choreography, acting and presentation skills' says Thomas Cook head of overseas entertainment Jane Maguire.

'They'll do all this with the expert help of Thomas Cook's entertainment teams who themselves have to audition for their jobs and are pretty talented performers.'

At the end of their two days at stage school, kids will put on a show-stopping graduation ceremony for parents.

The latest family-friendly venture comes on the back of Thomas Cook's Brazilian-style soccer schools which have been a hit on the Med this summer. 'The stage schools will provide an amazing opportunity for youngsters to develop some new skills and have great fun pretending to be pop stars and performers in the process,' adds Jane.

'They'll even get a graduation certificate and a Superstar Stage School t-shirt at the end of the two days.'

A seven-night half-board stay at the three-star Broncemar Beach in Caleta de Fuste, Fuerteventura costs from £1666.

Prices are based on two adults and two children sharing during August 2005 and include flights from Gatwick.
