Bride who worked non-stop for 730 days to afford 32G breast implants in time for her wedding admits her new husband preferred her B-cup 'bee stings'

  • Sharon Knight had always been self-conscious about her B-cup breasts
  • When her partner proposed she decided she wanted surgery
  • In order to afford it she worked 730 days in a row at B&Q
  • She went up to a G cup but says her husband preferred her smaller size

A bride-to-be worked has revealed how she worked non-stop for 730 days so she could afford the super-sized 32G breasts she had always dreamed of in her wedding photos.

However, Sharon Knight, 32, from Widnes in Cheshire, has confessed her husband Paul, 31, has told her he misses her 32B 'bee stings'.

Mrs Knight said she had been self-conscious about her chest since she was a teenager, first proposing the idea of a breast augmentation to her mother Marie, 67, when she was just 17.

But it wasn't until 2010, when Paul proposed whilst the pair were on holiday in Cape Verde, that she decided to make her dream a reality.

So Sharon took a second job in B&Q, spending days at her high-powered job and nights stacking shelves and organising plants.

Eventually she saved £3,500 – and agreed to get married to Mr Knight.

'For more than two years, I worked every single day, with no break,' she said. 'But it was worth it. I'd wanted the surgery since I was 17.

'When I first brought it up, mum just looked at me, a bit shocked and went: "Now now love, let's give nature a chance and see what happens, shall we?"

'The problem is, nothing ever happened. I was sick of going around with these two bee stings on top.'

Mrs Knight added that the women in her family – including sisters Jen, 27 and Denise, 46 - are all cursed with a big bottom half and smaller top half.

She joked: 'Can you imagine what a nightmare clothes shopping is when your top half is two sizes smaller than your bottom half?'

Mrs Knight's dream of a bigger bust was put on the backburner when she met Mr Knight in 2003 while both were working in a local supermarket.

She describes the encounter as 'lust at first sight' but, as the pair worked clashing shifts, they barely spent more than a few minutes together, passing instead like ships in the night.

However, they made the most of what little time they did have together, building up a close friendship which quickly developed into a relationship.

Mrs Knight said her new boyfriend never had a problem with her tiny boobs.

'He's always loved me exactly as I am. Truth be told, Paul's always been a bum man not a boob man, so he never had any problems with me on that front,' she said.

As the couple enjoyed dating, saving every penny they made so they could eventually move into a flat together, Mrs Knight pushed the thought of surgery out of her mind.

The idea did not resurface until February 2010, when the pair jetted to Cape Verde together.

One morning, Mr Knight said he was going for a run, but did not to return for around two hours.

Just as Mrs Knight was getting worried, he came back, suggesting a stroll along the beach before breakfast.

'We went for a walk through the sand-dunes when suddenly I saw, laid out in pebbles, the words 'WILL YOU MARRY ME?' on sand in front of me,' she recalled.

'I was speechless. When I turned to Paul, he was standing there with a ring in his hand. When I finally regained the power of speech, I of course said yes.

'It was such an amazing moment, but I also thought: "oh my God, I have to get a boob job now, no more excuses."

'The thought of my pathetic little boobs being immortalised in photos of the most important day of my life was too much to bear.'

The surgery took place in November 2010 at Transform Pines Hospital in Manchester, and Mrs Knight was thrilled with the results.

She had gone from a size 34B to a 32G and finally felt her top and bottom half balanced out.

With her self-esteem restored, all that was left was the big day.

Mrs and Mrs Knight married at an outdoor ceremony in the Riu Palace Hotel in Negril, Jamaica in May 2012.

Mrs Knight said: 'It was the best day of my life. I didn't have that usual self-conscious feeling about my top half.

'I wore a very fitted white dress to get married in – I'd never, ever have been able to do that pre-surgery. I finally felt happy in my own skin. I felt like a million dollars.

'Paul still says he's a bum man. Funnily enough, he sometimes even tells me misses my 'tiny boobs'. There's no accounting for taste, is there?'
