Brothel owner Dennis Hof is a ‘narcissist’ who displays sadistic behavior towards his teenage girlfriends and insists that the 500 girls he employs address him as ‘Daddy’.

Hof, 69, has been a fixture in the headlines this week following the discovery of NBA star Lamar Odom unconscious in a room at his Pahrump Love Ranch on Tuesday.

But while insisting publicly that he is a legitimate businessman who cares deeply about ‘my girls’ and his clients, his autobiography paints a strikingly different picture.

In The Art of the Pimp: One Man’s Search for Love, Sex and Money, Hof boasts about being America’s most successful purveyor of sex and revels in his notoriety.

He also includes a bizarre psychological evaluation performed by Sheenah Hankin PHD who diagnoses him as a narcissist and identifies sadistic traits in the way he interacts with women.

However, Hof, who has been married three times, sees his behavior differently and claims to shower his girlfriends, many in their teens and early twenties, with gifts and affection.

He also makes lurid claims about his sex life, including his alleged ability to give women eight orgasms at once, and says he has slept with more than 4,000 women.

Hof also admits to being unable to contemplate monogamy and, despite many having reservations, insists that girlfriends take part in threesomes with him and women from his brothels.

But for all the sexual excess, it is Hof’s attitude towards women that makes the most disturbing reading, with the pensionable pimp contending that girls over 21 aren’t worth bothering with.

Hof also admits to ‘trying out’ many of the women who work for him, with brothel manager and ‘work wife’ Madam Suzette tipping him off when a girl likely to be to his taste is hired.

Hof claims to have stamped out drug use on his premises, although insiders at the Love Ranch (sign pictured) say nearly all of the girls smoke marijuana.

Women who catch his eye are uniformly young, thin and blonde, and Hof encourages them to remodel themselves to his liking – including getting several to have breast implants at his behest.

Whether that includes Ryder Cherry, who insiders say is a favorite of his thanks to her ability to rake in cash from visiting men, he does not say.

However, Hof does write of the rules he imposes via a document known as The Bunny Bible which sets out the standards he expects from the women – including banning them from wearing jeans.

He also claims to have stamped out drug use on his premises, although insiders at the Love Ranch say nearly all of the girls smoke marijuana.

Writing of his approach, Hof says: ‘I’ll be damned if I’m going to let any one of them [the girls] put my investment at risk.

‘I’m not an asshole about it but I am firm. And those girls need an iron hand.’

Later, he adds: ‘It’s like a killer mentality. You show any weakness and you’re dead.’

Hof, who writes glowingly of his own generosity, claims to give famous visitors free rein and says he doesn’t charge star guests – despite handing Odom a $79,000 bill, including $37,500 on each girl.

Celebrities or not, his women are expected to treat visiting men ‘like kings’ and Hof says he likes to take girls aside to teach them how to sell themselves, including pulling their shoulders back during line-up parades to make their breasts look bigger.

Girls are also expected to smile warmly at clients and attempt to make them fall a little in love in the hopes of booking bigger jobs and raking in more cash.

Negotiations are conducted in the girls’ rooms, which Hof says he expects to be spotless at all times, and are listened into by management who take half of the eventual fee and of any tips.

He also writes that he expects unswerving devotion and loyalty from the women in his life, cutting them out completely should they transgress.

Among the early victims of his all-consuming desire for control were his two daughters, from his marriage to his first wife Shirley, who were excised from his life 22 years ago.

He also admits to disliking his mother, although he says he ‘cried like a baby’ when she died, and became so estranged from his father that he only discovered he was dead from a neighbor a year after his death.

The receipt included huge sums for two girls, as well as the use of a limousine and money spent at the bar

Hof, who cheerfully admits to adoring publicity and reveling in the fame that came from his starring role in HBO reality series Cathouse, also boasts of his friendship with porn star Ron Jeremy who he calls ‘my b****’ and refers to as ‘she’.

More disturbing is the treatment meted out to his girlfriends. One, a woman named Cami Parker, claims to have been left with an eating disorder after being manipulated by Hof for three years.

Twenty-two when she met him, Cami, whose assessment of Hof is included in his autobiography, was swiftly sucked into a relationship with the then 64-year-old and was given the brothel title of ‘Daddy’s Girl’.

‘She was in her early twenties, about 105 pounds, blonde,’ writes a slavering Hof of their first meeting.

‘I didn’t waste any time getting Cami into bed and I was immediately hooked. She was hot, kinky, wild and had an easy laugh. She also drank a little too much but I wasn’t worried.’

Hof goes on to claim that he ‘spoiled’ her, showering her with gifts and taking her on his travels and to the lavish celebrity parties he claims to have attended.

He also took her to the Playboy Mansion where, he says, she became so drunk she passed out and later awoke to find him in bed with two Playboy Bunnies.

Cami remembers things differently. From the start, she says, she was expected to entertain Hof and his whims, with other girls emphasizing how important getting ‘Daddy to like you’ was.

She would not, she was told, ‘have a very good time if he doesn’t, so if he wants to, you definitely should [have sex with Hof].’

Cami also says she was initially impressed with Hof who she describes as ‘powerful’ and ‘confident’ and accepted his gifts, among them a ‘cheap diamond necklace that came from a Ziploc bag’.

The relationship soon became physical but Cami says she was taken aback by his cheap behavior which included booking himself first class plane tickets while leaving her to fly coach alone.

He would also belittle his ex-girlfriends and painted himself as a good guy who was wronged, all while encouraging Cami to ‘fix’ her looks to suit himself.

‘Even when he told me I should lose 10 pounds and consider getting a breast augmentation, I thought it was for my own good,’ she says.

‘I was 5ft 4”, 107 pounds, with A-cup breasts but he would forever tell me to lose weight even when I was 96 pounds with DD’s, which eventually led to a very serious – and nearly fatal – eating disorder.’

But for all Hof’s attempts at control, Cami says it was his sexual incontinence and habit of playing girls off against each other that eventually spelled the end for their relationship.

‘He loves to hurt and confuse women,’ she says. ‘He even bragged about sleeping with a girl one minute after her legal birthday and then putting her right to work, as if this is something real men brag about.

‘He would even tell me that at 23 (he was 65) I was too old for him, since girls over 21 are no good anymore, anyways.’

Small daily cruelties, writes Cami, became the norm and when she finally did decide to leave, Hof invited brothel manager Madam Suzette to her room to serenade her with a rendition of Queen’s Another One Bites The Dust.

She adds: ‘I feel like all these years later, I’m still trying to escape him. Dennis is a liar. Every single word that comes out of his mouth is bulls***.

‘All that fake bravado, all that nonsense about how BunnyRanch is so wonderful and everybody’s so happy there. It’s a lie.’

For his part, Hof says the end came after Cami ‘completely lost it. She had become an evil, crazy version of herself, screaming, taunting me.’

In a callous postscript, he writes: ‘Can you believe I put up with that craziness for so long? But I finally grabbed my dog, walked out the front door and left.

‘Never looked back. Never saw or said a word to her since.’

Despite Hof’s casual dismissal of Cami as ‘crazy’, other women have reported similar treatment – including being made to change their appearance to suit his tastes.

A church-going girl from Michigan, Krissy, who has also contributed to Hof’s book, had had just one sexual experience prior to meeting Hof and being moulded into a hooker by the Arizona-born pimp.

He also cheerfully admits to accompanying her to Los Angeles for breast surgery, choosing the implants and then watching the procedure.

‘After the first incision [Dr] Garth [Fisher] put a thing in there called a sizer,’ explains Hof. ‘It’s an implant, basically, with a tube on it.

‘You can blow it up and deflate it until you get exactly the right size you want. ‘If it’s too small, you pump it up a bit; too big and you let out a little air.

‘Finally Garth got them just right. “Those are perfect”, I said.’

Like Cami, Krissy says Hof had complete control over her, adding that ‘if you upset or disappoint him, one of them [the other girls] is going to take your place.

‘When I first met him, I was probably about average weight for my size but I knew Dennis liked a thinner girl.

‘So I worked out and ate well and lost a lot of weight. Then I bleached my hair and painted my nails red because that’s what he likes.

‘But when you keep trying to change things about yourself, it can make you even more insecure. I wondered what was wrong with me that I had to keep “fixing” myself, but I did it anyway and didn’t complain.

‘This was Dennis’ fantasy and I was part of it, and I didn’t want to mess that up.’

Krissy, who has since left Hof, says she is finding it hard to live a normal life and is now heavily in debt.

‘I’m proud that I broke free but I’m sad too,’ she says. ‘I wouldn’t want to go back to Nevada but I can’t honestly tell you that it would never happen.’

For his part, Hof says Krissy’s defection left him wondering whether he would ever find lasting love but, for all that, says he has no plans to give up ‘his girls’.

Instead, the publicity-seeking pimp intends to carry on as he always has and has this week been reveling in the extra attention brought about by Odom’s very public collapse.

Having told Khloe Kardashian to ‘go to hell’, Hof has toured the TV studios, talking up his brothels and insisting that Odom’s plight is in no way his fault.

But while Odom might be the most famous of those to have come to grief after encountering him, he is far from being the only one.

And despite claiming repeatedly to have been left ‘heartbroken’ by the departures of his girlfriends, Hof has no plans to change.

Instead, the publicity hungry pimp is interested in the same things that he has always been: making money and having as much sex as possible - regardless of the effect on those who get in his way.
