The Suit And Tie singer made sure to credit the legendary musicians that came before him as he began to get teary-eyed during the speech.

His voice began to crack a little bit as he said: 'I am truly honoured to be able to stand on the shoulders of all these legends that I grew up listening to and I grew up admiring to say that I stand alongside them now.'

Justin looked dapper in a deep navy blue houndstooth-patterned blazer featuring a big black lapel over a matching button-down dress shirt.

He completeed the look with a deep navy blue bowtie as he combed his hair in a side-part and had a bit of scruff on his face.

The Sexyback singer still has not forgotten his roots as he said in his speech: 'My favorite part about this city is we don't apologize for who we are, and that's who this city has taught me to be.'

He also called Memphis the greatest city in the world as he compared the Midwest city to some of the most famous cities in the world.

Justin got a cheer as he said: 'London ain't got no Gus's Fried Chicken. Paris may rendezvous, but they ain't got no Rendezvous. Egypt has the pyramid; they don't have no Bass Pro Pyramid.'
