And Jessica Chastain admitted she played along with it when some excited Bryce Dallas Howard fans approached her to praise her work.

The saucy redhead told Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon she adopted the ploy when approached by some of the Jurassic World star's supporters when she was riding on public transport.

Jessica, 38, said: 'I was on the subway and I saw these kids looking at me, these teenagers.

They come over to me and go, 'I'm sorry. Are you an actress?' I was like, "yes! I'm being recognised. This is what it is going to be like in my future."

'They were going on and on and I was like, "thank you it means so much to me, than you so much." Then they go, "Yes, The Village was such a great movie."'

They were of course talking about the 2004 psychological thriller, about a small town where residents live in fear of creatures inhabiting nearby woods
