Chief executive Stuart Gulliver is said to have been encouraged to stay by a series of U-turns by the Government which has been trying to persuade the global giant to keep its headquarters in London. When pension freedom became a fiasco: Unhelpful insurers, baffling rules, rip-off charges - Getting your cash has too often been a battle ... but help is at hand
George Osborne's pensions revolution was supposed to be a landmark change in the way we take our retirement income for ever. But the reforms plunged into chaos, forcing regulators to change the rules. Here is what happened and what you can do now.

American ballet dancer Eric Underwood has had an extraordinary past 15 years. He has gone from earning $4 (£2.60) an hour as a waiter in New York to dancing on stage with Beyoncé, dressing in Alexander McQueen designer clothes and spending thousands of pounds on impulse holidays at the drop of a hat. How the state pension top-up works: Is a £1,300-a-year boost to retirement income worth the £22,250 upfront cash?
I will reach state pension age before next April so I am allowed to top up my state pension under the Government scheme launched this week. However, I am in two minds about whether to do this. I am in good health now and obviously hoping for a long retirement, but it sounds like a lot of money upfront so is it really a good deal?

Losses widen at James Bond luxury yacht firm Sunseeker as sales sink
The Dorset-based boat maker, which was bought two years ago by Chinese property developer Dalian Wanda Group, recorded sales of just £196 million in the year to December 2014, compared with £341 million for the previous 17 months. However pre-tax losses widened from £26million for the 17-month accounting period to £39.1 million for 2014, meaning the company has not made a profit since the year ending July 31, 2012.

Four top fund managers who like banks - and the famous one who doesn't: How to invest in Lloyds away from the share sale
The spotlight is on the privatisation, but it could be worth thinking about other ways to gain exposure to Lloyds - or even rival big banks. We get the thought of fund managers - including four who like Lloyds and potentially other banks and a rather famous one, Neil Woodford, doesn't like the big banks at all.
Why Britain's top fund guru Neil Woodford is BUYING shares when everyone else is selling
With his first independent fund - Woodford Equity Income - Neil Woodford has turned every £1,000 invested into £1,157 over the past year when his rivals have only managed to make an average £5. Had you put £1,000 into his Invesco Perpetual High Income fund when he took the helm in 1988, you would have had £22,286 by the time he left last year. Holly Black gets his thoughts on the investing world.
