Elizabeth Olsen and Tom Hiddleston look cosy at premiere of new film I Saw The Light after actress insists they're just friends

Elizabeth Olsen and Tom Hiddleston looked happy together at the Nashville premiere of their film I Saw The Light on Saturday night.

The English actor, 34, plays country singer Hank Williams in the movie and the American actress, 26, plays his wife and manager Audrey.

Their chemistry on-screen and off is so strong, Olsen found herself having to deny the two are dating in an interview last month.

During a screening of the biopic at the Toronto International Film Festival, Olsen was asked outright by Refinery29 if she and Hiddleston are an item.

'No,' she responded. 'I mean, people can think what they want to think.'

She added: 'We definitely are friends and we've known each other for about four years.'

Make a statement in a dress like Elizabeth's

Elizabeth Olsen is known for her undeniable style, often clad in contemporary and chic items to lust after. Her dress at the I Saw The Light premiere was no different.

The actress was wearing a fine knit number with asymmetric detailing from the Proenza Schouler SS16 collection. It hasn't even been released in stores yet, however, you can shop the New York label's current collection (right)!

Paired with black pointed sling-backs and fine gold jewellery, which she layered for effect, Elizabeth showed off her accessorising skills. With a dress such as this, one heavy with details and embellishments, it's best to tone down the heels and jewels.

Opt for dresses from Joseph, Waven, Topshop and Whistles to get the look.

Williams wrote and performed a myriad of songs before his untimely death at 29 in 1953.

In addition to I Saw the Light, his popular country and western tunes included Hey, Good Looking, Lost Highway, Lovesick Blues and Rambling Man.

He and Audrey divorced the year before his death which was hastened by his use of alcohol and drugs to medicate the lifelong pain he suffered due to being born with spina bifida.

The film was scheduled for a November release, making it eligible for the upcoming awards season.

However, on Friday, Sony Pictures Classic announced it is pushing the movie to March 2016.

The premiere went ahead anyway as planned.
