NIK SIMON: Scotland were robbed of their greatest World Cup victory after a late blunder by referee Craig Joubert gifted Australia a 35-34 win at Twickenham. The South African official was labelled 'a disgrace' after he sprinted down the tunnel at the final whistle, refusing to shake hands with the players before having a plastic bottle thrown in his direction. Joubert (pictured, above centre) awarded a 79th-minute penalty, which was kicked by Wallaby No 10 Bernard Foley, because he incorrectly judged replacement Scottish prop Jon Welsh to be offside when catching the ball. Big screen replays showed Australian replacement scrum-half Nick Phipps (above, left) got the final touch.
