Sweden celebrated another royal announcement last week when Victoria's younger brother Prince Carl Philip revealed that he and his wife Princess Sofia are expecting their first child in April.
In a statement published on Facebook, the couple said: 'We are so happy and excited to announce that we are expecting our first child. We are very much looking forward to it.'
Carl-Philip, 36, is the second child of King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia.
The palace also revealed: 'The birth is expected to take place in April of 2016. No changes in the schedule of The Prince Couple's public engagements are planned during the fall of 2015.'
The Facebook post has received over 65,000 likes on the Royal Swedish Court's page.

Earlier this summer, the 38-year-old was the subject of pregnancy rumours sparked by paparazzi photos showing her with a more rounded stomach while on holiday in France
Victoria announced her own news early last month on the Sveriges Kunghaus website. The princess, who has been the subject of baby rumours over the summer, declared herself 'happy' at the prospect of becoming a mother again.
'Their Royal Highnesses Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel are happy to announce that the Crown Princess is expecting their second child,' read the statement.

Victoria's baby bump was first seen on the weekend of the announcement in early September.
Glamorous in a floor-length grey column dress by Adrianna Papell, the princess showed off a tiny bump as she joined her parents for the annual Sweden dinner at the Royal Palace in Stockholm.

The new arrival will be the second Swedish royal baby in less than a year, following the June birth of Prince Nicolas, Duke of Ångermanland, the second child of Victoria's younger sister, 33-year-old Princess Madeleine
There was also another new addition to the Swedish royal family, 30-year-old Princess Sofia, elegant in a red gown by local label Dagmar, who married Prince Carl-Philip, 36, in June.
The dinner, which saw 200 guests take their seats in the Palace's White Sea Ballroom, is a relatively recent royal tradition, begun by King Carl XVI Gustaf in 2013 to mark his fortieth year on the throne.
Despite the presence of so many senior royals, including Brazilian-born Queen Silvia, all eyes were on Victoria.

At the time, the princess remained silent, despite conjecture over a 'baby plan' published in German tabloid magazine Bunte.
