Hard to miss him! Russell Brand strolls through Perth Airport in bright red sneakers wearing a scarf over his head and carrying a blanket in his hand

Funny man Russell Brand looked more like a rock star than comedian as he strolled through Perth's domestic airport on Monday.

The 40-year-old, who is touring the country with his stand up show, was hard to miss in his bright red sneakers.

Also garnering attention was a white and black printed scarf covering his famous curly mane, while over-sized black sunglasses covered his eyes, despite being inside the terminal.

The star sported black skinny jeans and a printed T-shirt with a leather-look trim jacket over the top.

Wearing a crystal pendant as well as a long beaded chain around his neck, Russell showed his softer side as he carefully carried a plush white blanket over his forearm.

Russell has been performing and promoting his Trew World Order all over the country in the past week.

On Friday the comedian appeared on The Project opposite his Australian crush Fifi Box, with the pair flirting and laughing together on-air.

While explaining how he gets into the zone to perform live, Russell looked squarely at the blonde mother-of-one and said: 'For me, all things must come from a centre of truth,'

'Whether you're doing this interview on The Project, or stand up comedy or making love to a fine looking woman in hope of a second child,' he said, drawing giggles from the audience

However, it was Russell's chat with Today Show's Richard Wilkins that made headlines, after the comedian made the entertainment reporter uncomfortable when asking about his sexuality.

The witty comedian talked around a question about his love life, telling the TV personality: 'Everyone is Miss Right when you are in the right mood,' the 40-year-old said before asking the journalist: 'You got a girlfriend, a lover, a boyfriend? I don't know what you like.'

Trying to turn his face away from the camera, Richard burst into laughter before answering he was 'very hetrosexual', leaving Russell gobsmacked.
