There may be two decades between them, but Kylie Minogue’s toyboy lover wasn’t going to let it show as they stepped out in London at the weekend.

With a well-groomed beard and wearing an old-fashioned smoking jacket and slippers, Joshua Sasse, 27, led Miss Minogue commandingly through a group of photographers.

As for Miss Minogue, she covered up in a floor-length midnight blue gown for their trip to the theatre – but her fresh face made it hard to believe she turned 47 this year.

It is a month since they were first spotted in public together.

On Friday, they had just been to see Gypsy, a musical starring Imelda Staunton, at the Savoy theatre in London’s West End.

Mr Sasse himself found fame on the London stage in Mamma Mia! and is the star of US TV series Galavant, in which Miss Minogue will be a guest star.

Earlier this year, when she was single, the pop star said she was willing to compromise on looks to find love. ‘I don’t mind grey hair, I don’t mind bald or balding,’ she said. But in the event she clearly didn’t have to.

It is not the first time she has dated a younger man. In 2013 Miss Minogue ended a five-year relationship with Spanish model Andres Velencoso, who was ten years her junior.
