With her shiny red hair smoothed back into an elegant updo she bears more than a passing resemblance to classic Hollywood beauty Grace Kelly.

And that may be why Max Mara chose Amy Adams as the face of its Spring/Summer 2016 Accessories Campaign.

The brand launched its new lines with a celebrity party at the Four Seasons Restaurant in New York on Monday

Of course, the American Hustle actress was there looking chic in a long line white jacket patterned with black stars, worn over a fitted black dress with a Fifties Mad Men feel that fell to just below her knees.

The frock featured a sheer top that revealed the outline of her bra and just a hint of her skin as she posed at the restaurant.

The 41-year-old completed her ensemble with elegant black high-heeled pumps and a pale pink handbag, probably from Max Mara.

Amy recently took part in the new campaign to promote the brand's new Venezia bag and Tribute sunglasses that was shot in New York by celebrity fashion snapper Mario Sorrenti.

A host of fashion industry insiders attended the launch party including designer Maria Giulia Maramotti in a shimmery gold dress and Canadian model Heather Marks.

The 27-year-old showed off her slender figure in a form-fitting black mini-dress and thigh-high suede boots that ended just a couple of inches below the hem of her LBD.

Meanwhile, Amy's film career is as busy as ever with numerous projects in the pipeline.

These include playing Lois Lane in director Zack Snyder's film Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice, co-starring Ben Affleck as the Caped Crusader and Henry Cavill as Superman, due out March 25.

She also stars in the sci-fi Story Of Your Life, due out next year, which follows a linguist who is tasked by the military to learn whether or not aliens that have landed on Earth are dangerous or peaceful. The film also stars Jeremy Renner.

Amy also has a full-time job as the mother of five-year-old daughter Aviana, who she shares with Darren Le Gallo. The couple finally tied the knot in May following a seven-year engagement.
