Ambulance crash

Ambulance crew are rescued from the wreckage after colliding with a car on route to an emergency

This is the moment an ambulance overturned on its way to an emergency call out.

The vehicle had left its Christchurch base just after 1pm yesterday when it was in collision with a car driven by a 69-year-old man at the Hoburne roundabout in Highcliffe, Dorset.

Fortunately, the ambulance was not carrying any patients at the time.

An eyewitness to the crash said:  "I was driving towards the scene as it happened, it looked like the ambulance was going far too fast."
