Lamar Odom has been discharged from Sunrise hospital in Las Vegas, just under one week since he was found unconscious from a near-fatal overdose in a brothel.

According to reports, the onetime NBA great has been breathing on his own this week after collapsing last Tuesday and was even able to tell his estranged wife, Khloe Kardashian: 'I love you'.

Odom was airlifted about 5.30pm to Los Angeles, where he will continue rehabilitation.

E! News has reported that Khloe rode in the helicopter with her husband to LA.

He is 'making fast progress' and can now move his arms and legs.

However he has been unable to stand up, even with assistance, according to the report.

A CT scan came back clean, but there may be some cognitive issues ahead.

Odom remains on dialysis due to kidney failure.

However E! also reported that he recently passed a swallowing test, which is a good sign of neurological function.

CNN reported Monday that, after waking from his coma, Odom managed to muster the strength to tell Khloe: 'I love you.'

She has not left his side since the collapse and travels with him everywhere in the hospital.

Odom has 'months' of treatment ahead of him as he continues to recover.

It is still unclear however whether he will fully recover.

Earlier on Monday the Daily Mail Online obtained photos from inside the Love Ranch brothel suite where Odom romped with two prostitutes and consumed a mystery cocktail of drink and drugs.

The first of the three pictures shows the 35-year-old siting barefooted on a couch, looking drained and disheveled.

His head is bowed and his eyes are barely open as he clasps a half-full bottle of water, wearing a red t-shirt.

A woman's bare legs can also be seen in the shot which was taken between 7:30pm and 8:30pm – around 18 hours before Lamar was found unconscious with white foam dripping from his mouth.

In the second and third images, the 6ft 10in former athlete is seen sprawled across a king-size bed.

Taken between 11:30pm and 11:45pm they appear to show him either sleeping or unconscious beneath a duvet in brothel boss Dennis Hof's private suite.

What appeared to be sex toys, candles and lubricant can be seen on the dresser along with what looks like a copy of Hof's raunchy memoir – 'The Art of the Pimp'.

A zipped-up red and black sports bag is on the wooden floor next to the bed.

Love Ranch sources say the images were taken by one of the two hookers who Lamar picked out of a line-up when he arrived at the remote sex den in Crystal, Nevada, on Saturday.

Daily Mail Online did not pay for the pictures.

Petite blondes Ryder Cherry and Monica Monroe visited him as often as six times a day for 'private party sessions' before entering his room and finding him unconscious at around 2:30pm Tuesday.

Lamar was initially thought to have taken cocaine and herbal Viagra but Daily Mail Online later revealed, however, he had in fact taken a 'speedball' - an intravenous injection of cocaine with heroin or methadone.

Love Ranch management insist they have a zero-tolerance attitude towards drugs and make their adult performers sign agreements allowing them to spot search their rooms.

But reports soon surfaced stating that medics had found a needle mark on Lamar's arm and 'every drug imaginable' in his system.

'When the first photo was taken early Monday evening you can see he was sitting up and looked OK,' said our insider.

'That was right before they left to get food at Walmart. He wanted watermelon and a bunch more food including ice cream - we don't know what else they bought.'

The source said the two girls returned with the food but Lamar was already asleep and didn't eat it.

It is not clear from the later images of the former Los Angeles Laker was merely asleep or already in the throes of an overdose, however there are no visible signs suggesting he was unwell.

'It's hard to tell if had taken anything at that point, added the source. 'He did take naps all the time throughout his stay.

'The girl who took these pictures has kept the time-stamps because she believes it proves he was OK when she left him.'

He was well enough to come off a ventilator Friday but medics fear his body has suffered permanent damage, according to reports.

Having awoken from a three-day coma, his health is slowly improving but his rehabilitation is expected to require the use of therapists for several months to help him walk and talk properly.

It's also believed his estranged Khloe has vowed to stay with him throughout the ordeal he faces - and is refusing to leave his side, People reported.

Doctors believe Lamar Odom will have to learn to walk and talk again during a lengthy stint of rehabilitation expected to take many months, it has been claimed.

TMZ reported the former star basketballer is likely to have suffered some undetermined permanent damage to his body after he collapsed on Tuesday during a drink and drug-fueled binge in a Nevada brothel.

THE LOVE RANCH: LEGAL BROTHEL WHERE LAMAR ODOM WAS FOUND UNCONSCIOUS

Lamar Odom was found unconscious on Tuesday afternoon by two prostitutes named Ryder Cherry and Monica Monroe at Dennis Hof's Love Ranch, the legal brothel where he was partying for days.

The establishment in Crystal, Nevada, is just one of several sex-for-cash businesses owned by the star of the HBO series Cathouse.

The Love Ranch, which is located about 80 miles north of Las Vegas, offers a number of services including 4-Play for Two, Oil Wrestling, Viagra and Vibrators, and the Girlfriend Experience (GFE).

Hof, a 68-year-old Arizona native, bought the Love Ranch in 2010, Las Vegas Weekly reported. He owns nine brothels and a strip club in Nevada, according to CNBC, including the Moonlite BunnyRanch in Carson City.

The newly renovated Love Ranch features a VIP section as well as a bar and massage rooms. The Love Ranch and Hof's other brothels also have Jacuzzi rooms, hot tubs, and water rooms.

There are sometimes as many as 50 women working on-site at the 24-hour brothels, which are open 365 days a year in order to provide services with no appointment required.

Patrons are allowed to attempt to 'line up' one of the ladies online beforehand, but they can also just go to the bar and drink to try and find a 'date'.

The ranch accepts credit and debit cards and it shows up on bills as 'Cash Advance, Lake Tahoe'. Cash is also accepted and although tipping is not required, it is somewhat encouraged.

Between all of the ranches, including the Love Ranch, there are more than 500 licensed female prostitutes. Each one of the brothels typically services between 50 and 100 clients per day.

Among the options for customers at the Love Ranch is the GFE, which is described on the brothel's website: 'Imagine a girl you can truly be yourself around. A lady you can share your erotic desires and intimate moments with.

'Someone who is always happy to see you, accepts you for who you are, as you are and is waiting to fulfill your every need - physical, emotional, sexual... with no strings attached.'

The women who work at the ranch are independent contractors, so there are no set prices in place, but customers at the brothel reportedly have to shell out hundreds of dollars to get tended to.
