After consciously uncoupling from his wife of 12 years Gwyneth Paltrow in April last year, Chris Martin has been linked to a bevy of high-profile women including Alexa Chung, Kylie Minogue and Jennifer Lawrence.

However it seems the 38-year-old father-of-two is now romancing English actress Annabelle Wallis.

The loved-up pair were spotted on Saturday in the Le Marais district of Paris, indulging in a very public display of affection, holding hands and dancing in the street.

But who is the blonde rising starlet who has captured the Coldplay frontman's heart?

Born in Oxford, Annabelle spent most of her childhood in Cascais, Portugal before relocating to London.

'Growing up in Portugal very much shaped who I am. It's given me a bigger world to learn from,' she told Interview Magazine.

'I went to international school. I had 42 different nationalities in my year and only 44 kids—it was a private school.

When new kids came from other countries you would adapt your voice so you could help them understand you.'

Coming from an artistic family - her uncle is Harry Potter actor Richard Harris - Annabelle said she 'always knew' she'd get into acting.

Her major breakthrough role was playing Jane Seymour in the BBC adaptation of The Tudors, opposite Jonathan Rhys Meyers.

We've been wondering about Chris Martin's new girlfriend Annabelle Wallis since they were spotted out and about together at the weekend. And it turns out she's been there all along!

The lucky lady has starred in both The Tudors and Peaky Blinders, gets to go to all the most glamorous events, has previously been linked to Jared Leto AND is pictured here with the dreamy David Gandy. Christopher Kane has even called her one of his muses. How has she slipped under everyone's radar for so long?

We suspect all that's about to change for the British actress, but for now let's take a look back at one of her style highlights. Literally! Speaking about how popular the period drama was, Annabelle told The Glass Magazine: 'I had never watched the Tudors, so I was sheltered by my ignorance about the show.

'When you are asked to do something like that, you don’t really realise the impact it is going to have.

'It was only when I went to America after I had finished and found there was such a huge audience there that it began to sink in.'

Since 2010 she's landed a number of successful TV roles including a Sixties air stewardess in Pam Am and Grace Burgess in BBC's gangster family drama Peaky Blinders.

But - like Chris's ex Gwyneth - Annabelle has also made a foray into the movie world starring in 2011 blockbuster X-Men: First Class, horror flick Annabelle and Madonna-directed W.E.

She's currently busy filming Guy Ritchie's forthcoming and highly anticipated The Knights Of The Round Table: King Arthur, and Grimsby - a comedy film written by Sacha Baren Cohen starring big names including Rebel Wilson and Penelope Cruz.

On taking on the acting world she told The Glass Magazine: 'I don’t want any favours, or my agents to talk to people, I want to go into that room and I want them to think I am it.'

As one of Britain's hottest rising talents, Annabelle has also caught the eye of the fashion world.

She's attended the British Fashion Awards alongside the likes of supermodel David Gandy, sat front row at A-list-filled shows such as Chanel and Whistles and has also been heralded as London-based designer Christopher Kane's muse.

He told Elle US: '[She's] fresh, fun, colourful, bright - an optimistic woman.'

Before hooking up with Chris, Annabelle previously dated British model James Rousseau. They haven't been spotted together since May 2014.

According to The Sun newspaper, pin-up James is said to be 'hurt' to see her with a new man.

'Annabelle and James were together for a long time and it hurt him to see the picture of Annabelle looking cosy with Chris,' a source revealed.

She was also linked to American actor Jared Leto, 43, in 2010.

Unlike health conscious Gwyneth - who once admitted to being teetotal - Annabelle has posted photographs of herself enjoying a glass of rose wine and champagne.

She can also be seen having fun with showbiz pals such as Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul and his wife Lauren, plus Wolf Of Wall Street actress Margot Robbie.

Before rocketing into the limelight, Annabelle admitted she had completely different aspirations and toyed with the idea of opening a nature reserve.

'I wanted to be an anthropologist and travel,' she told Interview. 'I had gone all through South America and Africa.

'I had done conservation in Botswana for a bit. I was very much into those sorts of things as well as acting. It was going to be a job where I'd be out in the world.'
