Eddie Murphy keeps it casual in sporty gear as he grabs coffee with gorgeous girlfriend Paige Butcher...after mocking Bill Cosby the night before

He received a prestigious award for his contribution to comedy on Sunday night in Washington, D.C.

So there's little doubt Eddie Murphy was especially pining for a cup of his regular roast after returning from the nation's capitol.

The 54-year-old had his gorgeous girlfriend Paige Butcher, 36, by his side as they left The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf in Los Angeles on Monday, beverages in hand.

Eddie trailed after his girlfriend as they exited the establishment, keeping it casual in black sunglasses, a sporty Adidas top, and a pair of matching track pants.

His girlfriend grinned from ear-to-ear as she walked outside, clutching a cardboard coffee cup carrier with two chill and creamy beverages inside.

The model appeared makeup free, and looked casual cool in a grey tank top and a pair of tight jeans that highlighted her toned legs.

She also wore a pair of black sunglasses and let her blonde locks fall freely in loose, natural waves.

Eddie appeared to be in top spirits, which he demonstrated when he flashed a friendly peace sign and a wide grin.

Only hours earlier, Eddie was in Washington D.C., where he received the Mark Twain Prize For American Humor at the Kennedy Center, and mocked Bill Cosby.

Eddie - who frequently impersonated Bill during his time on Saturday Night Live - pointed out that in 2009 Cosby received the same award.

He then asked the audience while holding his trophy; 'Did you all make Bill give his back?'

Eddie then said that he thinks Bill should have one final show, and 'just talk crazy.'

That is when Eddie launched into a Bill impersonation, saying; 'I would like to talk to some of the people who feel that I should give back my mother fu**ing trophies.'

From there Eddie continued into a five-minute standup set, the first he has done in 28 years and one that he began to plan weeks ago.

His friend and fellow comic Arsenio Hall told the Washington Post that Eddie practiced his routine earlier in the day for him and Chris Rock.

Earlier in the year Eddie had refused to impersonate Bill at the Saturday Night Live 40th Anniversary Special.
