Board tell Yeung: You're not rich enough to buy Birmingham City

Carson Yeung wants to make a renewed bid to buy Birmingham City. But the Hong Kong businessman has been told the club will not sell to him even though he remains their largest shareholder.

His failed takeover bid last year caused enormous upheaval at the club, and chairman David Gold said: ‘Carson Yeung will keep popping up but, in this economic climate, you have to be cash rich. We would want to sell to people who can invest and take the club forward.’
