That's all for tonight...

Thanks for joining us for tonight's Eurozone action, where we saw Barcelona thrash Rayo Vallecano 6-0 to go top of La Liga and Inter Milan secure an away win at Fiorentina in Serie A.

Full-time: Fiorentina 1-2 Inter Milan

Gomez almost gets on the end of Matri's low cross to salvage a point in injury time but the German doesn't react quickly enough.

A surprising - but well deserved - victory for the visitors, who bounced back from Cuadrado's equaliser to grab three points through Icardi's well-taken goal.

90 mins - Aquilani heads over

Fiorentina work the ball wide as their players fill the box but Aquilani can only loop his header over after a whipped in cross.

Ilicic forces a corner with time running out.

85 mins - Watsed opportunity for Inter

Inter break quickly but they can't take advantage as Icardi's cross is blocked for a corner.

They should've done better there.

81 mins - Fiorentina piling on the pressure

The hosts force two corners in quick succession with the second just taken off the head of Ilicic with a well-timed boot.

Time running out for Fiorentina.

79 mins - Fiorentina substitution

Matri replaces the injured Cuadrado with just over 10 minutes remaining.

Fiorentina going all out for an equaliser.

78 mins - Cuadrado down injured

Fiorentina's goalscorer sprints down the right but pulls up after just a few yards holding his calf.

74 mins - Inter in control

Icardi's goal has really taken the wind out of Fiorentina's sails.

They're struggling to retain possession and are yet to trouble Handanovic since the young Argentine's strike.

72 mins - Inter substitution

Taider comes on to replace Guarin with just under 20 minutes to play.

69 mins - Fiorentina substitution

Mario Gomez comes on for his first appearance in five months, replacing the ineffective Joaquin.

65 mins - GOAL! Fiorentina 0-1 Inter Milan (Icardi)

Instant impact from substitute Icardi, who steals in at the near post to divert a low cross beyond Neto and into the bottom corner.

Superb finish from the 20-year-old, completely against the run of play.

62 mins - Fiorentina substitution

Tomovic replaces Rodriguez for the hosts.

59 mins - Ilicic blasts over

Mario Gomez is warming up but Ilicic looks determined to stay on the pitch, driving forward and blasting over the bar.

Looks like the German will be with us shortly.

55 mins - Inter substitution

Young striker Icardi comes on to replace veteran Milito.

52 mins - Fiorentina fired up

The hosts look really up for this now as the home fans roar them on at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

Joaquin bursts down the left but can only manage a weak effort straight at Handanovic.

46 mins - GOAL! Fiorentina 1-1 Inter Milan (Cuadrado)

Fantastic response from Fiorentina, who equalise just a minute into the second period through Cuadrado.

The winger receives the ball in space just outside the box and bends a low shot beyond the reach of Handanovic.

Game on.

Leveller: Fiorentina's Juan Cuadrado celebrates after scoring against Inter
Full-time: Barcelona 6-0 Rayo Vallecano

Barcelona go back to the top of La Liga on goal difference after thrashing second-bottom Rayo Vallecano at the Nou Camp.

Two goals each from Messi and Pedro, plus strikes from Sanchez and substitute Neymar wrapped up a convincing win.

89 mins - GOAL! Barcelona 6-0 Rayo Vallecano (Neymar)

What a goal from Neymar!

The substitute picks up the ball just inside Rayo's half, rides a challenge, drives forward and then unleashes an unstoppable strike past Ruben and into the top corner from 25 yards.

Barca have been superb from start to finish.

Stunner: Barca forward Neymar celebrates his long-range strike against Rayo
84 mins - Barca slowing the tempo

Barcelona look content with their five goals and have slowed the pace as time runs out.

Substitute Tello looks eager to impress when he gets the ball but the hosts look happy to see this one out at 5-0.

Half-time: Fiorentina 0-1 Inter Milan

Vargas forces Handanovic into a smart save at his near post in injury time but Inter go in at the break 1-0 up thanks to Palacio's goal.

67 mins - Rayo deny Barca a sixth

Sanchez plays in Fabregas but the midfielder's effort is bravely blocked by Ze Castro.

Still time for Barca to get another, though.

74 mins - Barcelona substitution

Tello replaces Messi.

Pete Jenson reports from the Nou Camp

Messi now all-time third leading goalscorer in the history of the Spanish league drawing level with Raul. The difference being that Raul scored his 228 goals in 551 games and Messi has matched that in 263 games.

68 mins - GOAL! Barcelona 5-0 Rayo Vallecano (Messi)

Just moments after missing a clear chance, Messi bags his second of the night.

The Barca star drives into the box before unleashing a left-footed shot which flies beyond Ruben and into the bottom corner.

Messi now on a hat-trick.

34 mins - GOAL! Fiorentina 0-1 Inter Milan (Palacio)

Palacio has been Inter's danger man tonight and it's no surprise that he's opened the scoring.

The striker beat the offside trap to collect a chipped through ball on his chest before lashing it beyond Neto from close-range.

Danger man: Inter Milan's Rodrigo Palacio (third left) celebrates with his team-mates after opening the scoring
64 mins - Messi misses from close-range

An electric run from Messi somehow fails to end in a goal as the Argentine spoons his shot over the bar.

He could've had a hat-trick tonight.

62 mins - Neymar comes on

Neymar makes his return after an eight-game injury absence, replacing Pedro with just under 30 minutes to play.

28 mins - Another chance for Milito

Milito has his second good opportunity of the game but he can only find the side netting after working himself some space on the right.

Inter need to take advantage of one of these chances.

Sportsmail's Pete Jenson reports from the Nou Camp

You know it's all over when the Mexican wave starts...

56 mins - GOAL! Barcelona 4-0 Rayo Vallecano (Pedro)

More brilliance from Barca who cut through Rayo's defence with ease as Fabregas plays a one-two with Iniesta before setting up Pedro.

The winger makes no mistake and slides the ball into an empty net for his second goal of the game.

Fans' favourite: Barca players congratulate Pedro on his second goal of the night
53 mins - GOAL! Barcelona 3-0 Rayo Vallecano (Sanchez)

Barcelona have started the second half in similarly brilliant fashion and it's taken just eight minutes to carve Rayo open again.

This time Messi turns provider, playing in Sanchez who calmly finishes into the bottom corner.

Game over.

16 mins - Inter go close again

Milito finds some space in the box and powers a shot straight at Neto, who does well to get it clear.

The visitors are looking most likely to open the scoring here.

We're back underway at the Nou Camp

Rayo kick-off and the second half has begun in Barcelona.

13 mins - Palacio hits the post

So close for Inter, who strike the post through Palacio.

The striker latches onto a through ball and shoots low and hard across the goal, beating Neto but striking the woodwork.

Under pressure: Fiorentina's Joaquin (middle) is challenged by Inter Milan's Rolando (right)
8 mins - Samuel booked

Cynical tackle from Inter defender Samuel, who stops a Fiorentina breakaway with an obvious foul in the hosts' half.

He'll have to be careful now.

4 mins - Chance for Palacio

Palacio refuses to give up on a Fiorentina pass and chases back to put Neto under pressure.

A nervous start for the hosts' keeper.

We're underway in Florence...

Fiorentina and Inter Milan are off at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

Half-time: Barcelona 2-0 Rayo Vallecano

Goals from Adriano and Messi put Barcelona in control heading into the break.

42 mins - Barca at their best

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini won't be enjoying this so far.

Barcelona have been at their fluid best, cutting through Rayo with ease and creating chances at will.

Sportsmail's Pete Jenson reports from the Nou Camp

Messi now has 227 goals in 262 games. He's now level with the second greatest Argentine ever to play in La Liga, Alfredo Di Stefano, who finished with 227 goals in 329 games.

36 mins - GOAL! Barcelona 2-0 Rayo Vallecano (Messi)

Typically eye-catching finish from Messi, who bursts through on goal and lifts the ball over Ruben to give Barcelona a two-goal advantage.

It's been coming for a while and it doesn't look like being the last time Barca find the back of the net tonight.

Over the top: Lionel Messi scores Barcelona's second goal of the night
31 mins - Messi tests Ruben

Rayo keeper Ruben pulls off a reaction save to keep out Messi, who had a dig from the edge of the area after finding himself in space.

The Barca star came close again just seconds later, forcing another save from Ruben after weaving his way into the box.

All Barcelona at the moment.

29 mins - Iniesta at it again

Iniesta has been excellent so far and his fancy footwork almost results in another goal when he picks out Pedro, whose low cross is cleared at full stretch.

26 mins - Rochina goes for goal

Blackburn loanee Ruben Rochina finds some space on the edge of Barcelona's area but his powerful shot is blocked for a corner.

Barca clear the set-piece but are soon in trouble again when Puyol's header almost allows a Rayo attacker in on goal.

Nervous defending from the hosts, there.

22 mins - Sanchez fails to pick out Messi

Another brilliant pass from Iniesta picks out Alexis Sanchez who runs through on goal and opts to cross for Messi instead of taking a shot.

The little Argentine can't quite get on the end of the cross though, as the ball harmlessly goes out for a goal-kick.

18 mins - Pedro hits the post

Almost a second goal for Barcelona as Pedro collects a pass from Iniesta, drives forward and smashes the inside of the post with a fierce drive.

It looks like only a matter of time until Martino's men score a second.

Fiorentina team news

Starting XI: Neto, Rodriguez, Diakité, Compper, Pizarro, Aquilani, Cuadrado, Mati Fernandez, Joaquin, Vargas, Ilicic.

Subs: Rosati, Lupatelli, Roncaglia, Bakic, Pasqual, Wolski, Matos, Matri, Gomez, Tomovic, Anderson

14 mins - Messi hits the post

Fabregas picks out a perfectly-weighted pass to Lionel Messi who takes a touch but can only hit the post with his strike at goal.

Wonderful vision from the former Arsenal man but Messi will be disappointed he couldn't finish.

Inter Milan team news

Starting XI: Handanovic; Rolando, Samuel, Juan Jesus; Jonathan, Guarin, Kuzmanovic, Hernanes, Nagatomo; Palacio, Milito

Subs: Carrizo, Castellazzi, Zanetti, Andreolli, Icardi, Campagnaro, Mudingayi, Cambiasso, Botta, Taider, Ranocchia, D'Ambrosio

10 mins - Super effort from Iniesta

Andres Iniesta picks the ball up on the halfway line, takes a touch and then unleashes an ambitious half-volley which goes just wide.

Cheeky effort from the midfielder, who had spotted Rayo's keeper off his line.

7 mins - Barca piling on the pressure

Rayo have had a little possession but Barca are in complete control, pinging the ball around with ease and pinning the visitors back in their own half.

Fabregas is caught offside after another well-worked move.

Sportsmail's Pete Jenson reports from the Nou Camp

Rayo's coach Paco Jemez motionless in the technical area. Rayo have a reputation for playing nice football and defending appallingly. Even he probably expected to see out the first minute.

2 mins - GOAL! Barcelona 1-0 Rayo Vallecano (Adriano)

What a start for Barcelona!

The hosts keep the ball straight from kick-off and work it confidently around the pitch before left-back Adriano cuts inside and bends a right-footed shot into the far corner.

Rayo's first touch was to kick-off after the picking the ball out of their net.

Mobbed: Goalscorer Adriano is congratulated by his team-mates after opening the scoring against Rayo
We're underway at the Nou Camp

Barcelona get us underway under the floodlights. Can Barca keep pace with Atletico?

Barca boss Martino speaks ahead of kick-off

'We are perfectly focused on the game with Rayo.

'It hurt us a lot to lose top spot against Valencia and it was very hard to win it back against Sevilla.

'Now it’s important for us to continue to win and stay in first place, but this is going to be a difficult game.'

Plenty to play for

Barca find themselves second in the La Liga table heading into tonight's game after Atletico Madrid's 3-0 win against Real Valladolid propelled Diego Simeone's men top earlier today.

A win for Martino's men will restore them to the summit on goal difference.

Rayo are currently second bottom with just 20 points from their opening 23 games. They are, however, only four points from safety so all is not lost yet.

Puyol in, Neymar on the bench

Carles Puyol makes a rare start for Barcelona but Neymar has to make do with a place on the bench as he continues his recovery from injury.

Or maybe Gerardo Martino is just saving him for next week's Champions League clash with Manchester City...

Rayo Vallecano team news

Starting XI: Rubén, Arbilla, Saúl, Zé Castro, Mojica; Baena, Trashorras; Falque, Bueno, Rochina, Larrivey

Subs: Cobeño, Tito, Lass, Adrián, Longo, Galeano, Jonathan Viera

Barcelona team news

Starting XI: Valdés, Alves, Piqué, Puyol, Adriano, Iniesta, Busquets, Cesc, Alexis, Messi, Pedro
