But Michael Turnbull happily proved he still has a fit sportsman's physique as he stripped off for a very public outdoor workout session followed by a swim at a Gold Coast beach in Queensland recently.

Showing exactly why The Bachelorette Sam Frost decided to take him through to the final two contestants on Wednesday night, Michael showed off his rippling muscles as he went for a dip in the sea.

The reality star no doubt needed to cool off after working up a sweat at a nearby park, performing push-ups on the grass and chin-ups on some nearby bars.

Barefoot and wearing just a small pair of sport shorts, the Brisbane real estate agent jogged along the footpath with a gleaming smile on his face.

Michael has made it through to the final episode of The Bachelorette along with construction manager Sasha Mielczarek.

He enjoyed a romantic date with Sam Frost at an 'underwater' restaurant at an aquarium on Wednesday night's episode of the reality series.

He even confessed his true feelings for Sam, saying: 'I've fallen in love with you'.

The declaration of love came after Sam admitted: 'One of the most beautiful moments today was travelling out to sea and not ever talking. You know you've found someone when you don't need to talk.'

The pair then shared a passionate kiss in front of an aquarium.
