Hollywood icons: Rare photos of A-listers including Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor and Cindy Crawford go on display via new online gallery
- The UK-based ONGallery releases large runs of rare imagery and artwork so that they can be bought by the general public - without the sky-high price tag
- In its collection, the gallery has a wide variety of images of all manner of celebrities, with many having been taken by the world's premiere photographers, such as Vogue favorite Bert Stern and Marilyn's former lover Frank Worth
Once-rare photos of Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor, Frank Sinatra, Cindy Crawford are set to become all the more accessible thanks to a unique online art gallery that is offering limited-edition artworks by famed photographers and artists for a fraction of the original price.
Based in the UK, ONGallery negotiates directly with famous artists and photographers to publish larger edition runs than a traditional gallery would, allowing prices to be significantly reduced, and the works more widely available to the general public, including images from photographers such as Frank Worth, Bert Stern and Daniela Federici.
From Mr. Stern's Swarovski crystal-embellished pictures of Marilyn to Ms. Federici's black and white portrait of supermodel Cindy Crawford, the extraordinary images are being sold upwards of $2,000 depending on the size of the piece.

Epitome of glamour: The blonde icon looks stunning perched inside a convertible and smiling wide while wearing a beautiful gown
Mr. Worth, who photographed his famous friends for more than 60 years, never released his best photos and is hidden personal collection wasn't discovered until his death in 1999.
'The most extraordinary collection and find of its kind in the last 50 years,' Christie's said in a statement at the time.
A variety of Mr. Worth's photographs are available at OnGallery, including an image of Sammy Davis, Jr. jumping midair on set of the 1953 film How to Marry a Millionaire as Marilyn poses elegantly on a car behind him.
Another image from that day shows Marilyn posing perched inside a convertible while donning a stunning gown.
Mr. Worth's other photos feature Elizabeth Taylor on set of her 1956 film The Giant and Frank Sinatra standing with his foot on the front bumper of a Ford Thunderbird convertible in 1955.

A final glimpse: This image, taken by Bert Stern in 1962, is part of a series that is widely known as the 'Last Sitting' because it is thought to be the final photoshoot Marilyn posed for before her death six weeks later
Meanwhile, Mr Stern shot more than 2,500 pictures of Marilyn over the course of three days in the Bel Air Hotel for Vogue magazine in 1962 - just six weeks before the legendary actress died of a drug overdose.
Many of the images, which are known as the 'Last Sitting', went unseen by the public until Mr Stern found them in a box some 40 years later.
The photographer took the pictures the New York photo lab Duggal to have them restored, and in 2010 he teamed up with his assistants and twin muses Lisa and Lynette Lavender to 'reinvent Marilyn' through gemstones and crystals encrusted on the photos.
Exclusive limited-edition prints are now available on the online gallery's website, and include pictures of Marilyn draped in sheer fabric lined in Swarovski crystals and images of her covering her breasts with jewel-encrusted flowers - original images that were shown at the Marilyn Reinvented exhibition.
It's unsurprising that the the blonde icon is heavily featured on the site - including a nude pin-up photo of her taken by Tom Kelley in 1949 when she was still known as Norma Jean Baker.

Four years later she was Marilyn Monroe and the picture appeared in the first issue of Playboy magazine.
Meanwhile, Ms Federici's photographs of modern legends are also available, including a close-up portrait of a young Cindy Crawford and an image of Prince wearing overalls and a wide-brimmed hat.
Another one of her pictures shows Lenny Kravitz rocking his Henry Duarte bespoke leather outfits and signature dread locks - one of the last shots before he cute them off.
The thing I really love about ONGallery is this sort of perfect triangle between the artist, the public and ONGallery, said ONGallery chairman Sir John Hegarty.
'Bringing all of those together I think is a wonderful opportunity and I think that’s why for me the art that we’re getting and the photography that we’re getting we’ll have a huge success.'
