Oscar-winner Meryl Streep and rapper Future become unlikely doppelgangers thanks to social media

Meryl Streep can thank social media for promoting rapper Future as her unlikely doppelganger.

The 66-year-old Oscar winning actress for several weeks has been compared online to the 31-year-old hip hop star.

A set of side-by-side photos making the rounds shows the actress and singer sharing the same high cheekbones and similar smiles.

Another tweet thought Streep may have been celebrating Halloween early.

'Someone tell Meryl Streep I love her Future costume,' a tweet read on Monday.

Several other tweets lamented associating the actress and rapper together because it's hard to undo.

Streep can be seen in the new drama Suffragette that also stars Carey Mulligan.

The period drama tells the story of the British women's suffrage movement of the late 19th and early 20th century, with Streep playing British suffragette leader Emmeline Pankhurst.
